Guest DJ VeeQue (second hour).

This week's guest DJ is Vidath Induwara, a Sri Lankan-born DJ/producer better known by his stage name, VeeQué. Having fallen in love with music and audio at a very young age, he quickly developed an interest in DJing and pursued studies in Audio Engineering in 2014, completing his education in Sound and Music Technology.

As time passed, it became evident that his newfound passion was not just a temporary interest and would endure. He then chose to delve further into music, leading him to quickly familiarize himself with the studio, marking the next stage of his development. He began to develop a distinctive sound, creating various genres of music. Initially, he focused on producing EDM and house music, but gradually developed a strong affinity for deep and underground music, finding them to be incredibly soulful.

Influential musicians such as Hans Zimmer, Pink Floyd, Kalya Scintilla, Lee Burridge, Boris Brejcha, and Moby have greatly impacted his music. When creating his music, he aims to introduce organic acoustic sounds and melodies to the dance floor, incorporating a soulful sound that transcends traditional dance music and ventures into more melodic and harmonious territory by uniquely blending genres and experimental sounds.

VeeQué has gained recognition worldwide with his unique sound, collaborating with numerous record labels and hosting radio shows from the beginning. His debut track, which brings back memories, has become one of the all-time top releases for labels such as "Another Life Music Records," "Callote Records," and "Bevel Records," among others. Many artists, including Bynomic, Airwave, Christian Monique, Nishan Lee, Mario Picco, and PPK, have shown great support for his music.

He plans to release another EP in 2020 with a distinct sound that is both melodic and chill, as well as dark and deep tracks with a more psychedelic sound. Additionally, he plans to collaborate with Bynomic, Salbah, and Daniel Maya. He shared, "Each passing moment represents a story of our existence, evoking nostalgic feelings. A single story can be interpreted differently by two souls based on their past experiences, thus creating a unique fable for each individual."

Capturing that sense of nostalgia as a narrative is his aim in both his music and DJ mixes, crafting a seamless voyage that delves into the psyche of the audience. The prospects for this gifted artist are undoubtedly promising, so buckle up as the journey is just getting started.
