Hypnotised, the host of After Hours 444, has announced Dysco as the guest DJ for this episode, which originally aired on Monday, December 7th, 2020. This week's host, Hypnotised, is originally from Ghent, Belgium, and has been an integral part of the city’s vibrant electronic music scene. His early career saw him playing a variety of genres at prominent events like "I Love Techno" and "10 Days of Techno" in some of Ghent's most notable venues. Today, Hypnotised is known for his captivating progressive and tech house sets. Together with his musical collaborator PatriZe, he co-hosts the popular radio show "After Hours," which is broadcast on three major international stations: TM Radio (USA), Cosmos Radio (Germany), and Scientific Sound Asia (Vietnam).
Besides their weekly show, Hypnotised and PatriZe also present "AH Digital Essentials" on Proton Radio (USA). Hypnotised further hosts his own monthly show "Energetic" on Progressive Beats Radio (Germany). His distinct style and engaging performances have led him to guest spots on various prestigious radio stations around the world, including Ibiza Global Radio, Frisky Radio, DI FM, Golden Wings Music Radio, Insomnia FM, Groove City Radio, Fnoob Techno Radio, Urgent FM, and Ibiza Soul-Radio, among others.
Throughout his career, Hypnotised has performed alongside acclaimed artists such as Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Purple Disco Machine, Jesse Rose, and Nick Bril, appearing at notable festivals and venues like Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Deep on Deck Festival (South Africa), Club NL (Amsterdam), Decadance (Ghent), and Zanzibar (South Africa).
In 2015, Hypnotised made a significant move in his career by taking the helm of his label, "AH Digital," and starting his journey as a music producer. His productions frequently feature in the "Beatport Top 100 Releases" and receive support from many key figures in the electronic music scene. His debut EP, "People from the Otherworld," quickly rose to the fourth position on the charts, and the title track was later remixed by top-selling artist Rui Da Silva.
His subsequent release, "Infinity," also made waves, securing the No. 2 spot in both the progressive house and trance charts, and No. 3 in the techno charts on Beatport. In 2016, he began producing under the alias “Man on the Moon,” launching his debut track "Sense" on the renowned Bonzai label. His work has been recognized with accolades such as winning a remix contest on Metapop and receiving airplay on Belgium’s premier radio station, "Studio Brussel."
In addition to managing AH Digital, Hypnotised has collaborated with numerous other respected labels, including Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, SLC-6 Music, Pro-B-Tech Music, Stellar Fountain, Vesta Records, Insomniafm, and Abstract Space Records. DJ Dysco, also known as Dylan Scott Farrugia, has made a significant mark in both New York City's and Malta’s electronic music scenes. Starting his musical journey early, he quickly became known for his unique sound and talent.
His love for underground music and his ability to craft immersive sets have led him to perform at prestigious venues like Output, Pacha, and Cielo in New York, as well as Gianpula in Malta and Tanz Bar City Hall in Poland, all before turning 25. Dysco's production style draws inspiration from a range of artists including Paul Van Dyk and Guy J.
His tracks are characterized by rich, dark melodic sounds that resonate deeply with listeners. He has released music on various labels such as SLC-6 Music and has worked closely with artists like D.J. MacIntyre.
His recent solo EP showcases his growth and versatility as an artist, blending elements of progressive and dark prog sounds. Despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic, Dysco continues to work on new music and has plans for more projects. His upcoming releases on SLC-6 Music and collaborations reflect his commitment to evolving his sound and reaching new heights in his career.
