The host of After Hours 458, Hypnotised, has introduced Dava Di Toma as the guest DJ for this episode, originally aired on Monday, March 15th, 2021. This episode was broadcast by Scientific Sound Asia, an English-language electronic music station, DJ agency, and promoter operating throughout Asia, including in India, Japan, Thailand, China, and Malaysia.


Hypnotised, hailing from Ghent, Belgium, has been a prominent figure in the city’s vibrant electronic music scene. His early career was marked by performances at major events like "I Love Techno" and "10 Days of Techno," held at some of Ghent's most notable venues. Over the years, he has gained recognition for his captivating and energetic progressive and tech house sets that have mesmerized audiences around the world.


He co-hosts the popular radio program "After Hours" alongside PatriZe, a show that airs on three leading international stations: TM Radio (USA), Cosmos Radio (Germany), and Scientific Sound Asia (Vietnam). In addition to their collaboration on "After Hours," they also present "AH Digital Essentials" on Proton Radio (USA), featuring top talents in progressive house music.


Beyond these collaborative efforts, Hypnotised hosts his own monthly show "Energetic" on Progressive Beats Radio (Germany). His engaging style and dynamic performances have earned him guest appearances on numerous renowned radio stations globally, such as Ibiza Global Radio, Frisky Radio, DI FM, Golden Wings Music Radio, Insomnia FM, Groove City Radio, Fnoob Techno Radio, Urgent FM, and Ibiza Soul-Radio.


Throughout his career, Hypnotised has shared the stage with celebrated artists such as Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Purple Disco Machine, Jesse Rose, and Nick Bril. He has performed at high-profile festivals and venues, including the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Deep on Deck Festival (South Africa), Club NL (Amsterdam), Decadance (Ghent), and Zanzibar (South Africa). His ability to create electrifying atmospheres has made him a well-respected figure in the global electronic music scene.


In 2015, Hypnotised took a significant step in his career by establishing his own label, AH Digital, and exploring music production. His releases have consistently featured in the Beatport Top 100, receiving support from influential figures in the electronic music industry. His debut EP, "People from the Otherworld," quickly ascended to the fourth spot on the charts, with a remix of the title track by the renowned artist Rui Da Silva further enhancing its success. His follow-up release, "Infinity," achieved impressive positions, reaching No. 2 in the progressive house and trance categories and No. 3 in the techno genre on Beatport.


In 2016, Hypnotised broadened his musical horizons by producing under the alias "Man on the Moon." His debut track "Sense," released on the acclaimed Bonzai label, received widespread acclaim. His production skills have been recognized with several accolades, including winning a remix contest on Metapop and receiving airplay on Belgium’s premier radio station, Studio Brussel.


As the head of AH Digital, Hypnotised has collaborated with several respected labels, including Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, SLC-6 Music, Pro-B-Tech Music, Stellar Fountain, Vesta Records, Insomniafm, and Abstract Space Records. He continues to work on multiple projects with SLC-6 Music, Tantalum Records, and AH Digital, promising a steady stream of innovative music. This week's guest DJ (second hour) is Dava Di Toma, an experienced DJ and producer with over 34 years in the industry, originally from Belgium. His journey began during the new wave era, where he played a pivotal role in shaping Belgium’s electronic music scene. During the rise of the new beat and house movements, Dava was actively involved in organising parties and performing at some of the most prominent clubs and bars across the country.


Over the years, Dava has built a solid reputation for his unique sound and captivating performances. From 1990 to 2010, he was a resident DJ at numerous underground venues in Belgium, where he perfected his craft and became a well-known figure in the local electronic music scene. His performances were not just limited to Belgium; he has made a name for himself internationally, regularly performing in Ibiza and Koh Phangan, Thailand.


Dava’s style is heavily influenced by his time spent on islands such as Ibiza, Goa, and Koh Phangan. His music is characterised by a tribal and energetic feel, seamlessly blending deep techno basslines with high-energy twists, creating an immersive experience that elevates the crowd. His sets are infused with the vibrant energy of these iconic destinations, resonating with audiences and transporting them to a euphoric state.


As a producer, Dava Di Toma has released music on several respected international labels and has been featured as an artist for Chrom Recordings, Planet Ibiza, and Secondsun Group. His extensive experience and dedication to his craft have made him a respected name in the global electronic music community.


Dava is also the founder of Solar Conexion, a concept party that he organises in both Ibiza and Koh Phangan. These events are known for their unique atmosphere, blending music with the natural beauty of these stunning locations, and have become a highlight for electronic music enthusiasts in these areas.


In recent years, Dava has continued to expand his influence, splitting his time between performing in Koh Phangan during the winter months and touring across Europe, including Russia, Belgium, and Ibiza, during the summer. His ability to connect with diverse audiences and his passion for creating unforgettable musical experiences have cemented his position as a prominent figure in the international electronic music scene.


With a career spanning over three decades, Dava Di Toma remains committed to pushing the boundaries of his art, and his innovative approach to music continues to inspire and energise audiences worldwide.
