After Hours 510 is hosted by Hypnotised, who has announced guest DJ Diego Berrondo and the playlists for this week's show. Scientific Sound Asia is the premier Asian electronic music station, DJ agency, and event management company, boasting a growing international following.
This week's host, Hypnotised, kicks off the first hour. Hailing from Ghent, Belgium, he has been immersed in the vibrant electronic music scene since the early days of iconic parties like "I Love Techno" and "10 Days of Techno." Initially spinning a mix of styles in Ghent's largest party area, he now captivates audiences with his deep progressive and tech sounds. Alongside his partner in crime, PatriZe, he co-hosts the popular radio show "After Hours," which is broadcast on three radio stations worldwide: TM Radio (USA), Cosmos Radio (Germany), and Scientific Sound Asia (Vietnam).
In addition to this weekly show, Hypnotised hosts a monthly programme titled "AH Digital Essentials" on Proton Radio (USA) and the monthly "Energetic" show on Progressive Beats Radio (Germany). His intriguing sets have gained acclaim, leading to guest spots on numerous radio stations globally, including Ibiza Global Radio, Frisky Radio, DI FM, Golden Wings Music Radio, Insomnia FM, Groove City Radio, and Fnoob Techno Radio, among others.
Throughout his career, Hypnotised has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Purple Disco Machine, Jesse Rose, and Nick Bril at notable festivals and clubs, including the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Deep on Deck Festival (South Africa), Club NL (Amsterdam), Decadance (Ghent), and Zanzibar (South Africa).
A new chapter began for Hypnotised in 2015 with the management of his label, AH Digital, alongside the launch of his production career. His tracks frequently ascend the Beatport Top 100 releases, receiving support from esteemed figures in the electronic music scene. His debut EP, "People from the Otherworld," quickly climbed to No. 4 in the charts, with its title track later remixed by the No. 1 selling artist Rui Da Silva.
More recently, Hypnotised's EP "Infinity" made waves on the Beatport charts, reaching No. 2 in both the Progressive House and Trance categories, while landing at No. 3 in the Techno charts. In 2016, he ventured into production under the alias "Man on the Moon," where his debut track "Sense" was signed to the prestigious Bonzai label. This release not only won a Metapop remix contest but also gained airplay on Belgium's top radio station, "Studio Brussels."
Beyond his work with AH Digital, Hypnotised has collaborated with labels like Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, SLC-6 Music, Pro-B-Tech Music, and many others. Upcoming releases are anticipated on SLC-6 Music, Tantalum Records, and his own AH Digital. This week, the guest DJ for the second hour is Diego Berrondo, a talented Uruguayan DJ and producer hailing from the Florida Department. With over 10 years of experience, Diego has garnered respect within the Progressive House genre, making a significant impact on both the national and international music scenes.
Diego's musical journey began in 2012 when he made his first appearance on Hernán Cattaneo's resident show. This pivotal moment opened doors for him and set the stage for his future endeavours. He has since performed at numerous parties, events, and radio shows, including notable venues such as Clubbing Mvd, The Soundgarden, Bahrein (Buenos Aires), and OVO (Punta del Este). He has also been featured on platforms like Proton Radio and Frisky Radio, further establishing his presence in the electronic music community.
Throughout his career, Diego has had the privilege of sharing the booth with esteemed artists such as Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Mariano Mellino, Marcelo Vasami, Emi Galvan, Sebastian Busto, Juan Deminicis, Andrea Cassino, Frangellico, and Dousk, among many others. These collaborations have not only enhanced his skills but have also solidified his reputation as a prominent figure in the Progressive House scene.
Currently, Diego co-runs Clubbing Mvd and Progressive House Uruguay with Alex Efe. Their mission is to promote emerging national DJs and producers from the region, as well as to elevate the profile of the Progressive House genre within Uruguay. This initiative is crucial for fostering local talent and encouraging a vibrant electronic music culture.
