After Hours episode 552, hosted by Hypnotised, has revealed its guest DJ Ruben Karapetyan and the playlist for the upcoming show. Scientific Sound Asia, a renowned electronic music station and DJ agency has gained international recognition with its events and broadcasts across the region.
This week’s host, Hypnotised, hails from Ghent, Belgium. His journey began during the legendary parties like "I Love Techno" and "10 Days of Techno" in the city’s renowned club scene. His sets blend deep progressive and tech sounds, and he has been part of the electronic music landscape for many years.
Alongside PatriZe, he hosts the popular "After Hours" show, which is broadcast on TM Radio (USA), Cosmos Radio (Germany), and Scientific Sound Asia (Vietnam). He also co-hosts the monthly show "AH Digital Essentials" on Proton Radio (USA) and "Energetic" on Progressive Beats Radio (Germany).
Widely respected for his intricate and captivating sets, Hypnotised has performed as a guest on top radio stations such as Ibiza Global Radio, Frisky Radio, and DI FM. He has shared the decks with industry heavyweights like Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, and Purple Disco Machine, performing at iconic events and venues such as Amsterdam Dance Event, Club NL in Amsterdam, and Zanzibar in South Africa.
In 2015, Hypnotised launched his record label, AH Digital with PatriZe, marking the start of his production career. His debut EP People from the Otherworld achieved significant success, topping the Beatport Progressive House chart at number four, with the title track remixed by Rui Da Silva. His more recent EP Infinity climbed to second in both the progressive house and trance charts and third in the techno chart, affirming his position as a key figure in the electronic music scene.
Under his alias "Man on the Moon", Hypnotised gained further recognition with his track Sense, which was signed to the iconic Bonzai label and earned him a win in Metapop’s remix contest. He has worked with numerous labels, including Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, and Pro-B-Tech Music, and continues to release new work on SLC-6 Music and his label, AH Digital. This week's guest DJ is Ruben Karapetyan, originating from Armenia and raised in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. He has been a DJ since the early nineties when he bought his first pair of turntables.
His influences stem from the early nineties rave culture and parties, as well as the big names of the electronic music scene such as Nick Warren, Sasha, and John Digweed, to name a few. His early career saw him being nicknamed Armenia's top electronic export in the late 1990s' by Zrutsaser Entertainment Magazine.
His main genre these days is Progressive House and he is considered a heavyweight in the scene. He has released music on labels such as Lowbit, Mango Alley, Digital Emotions, and many more.
He regularly charts with his Progressive House releases attaining the number one spot frequently. His tracks and remixes have gained support and plays by a plethora of Progressive House stalwarts like Dmitry Molosh, Stan Kolev, Matan Caspi, and many more.
In After Hours 552, we dive deep into the world of Progressive House with two captivating hours of music.
