After Hours episode 556 hosted by Hypnotised has announced its guest DJ Chris Doppler and playlists for their new show. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian House music radio station, DJ agency, and promoter for the Asian region and has an international following.
This week’s host is Hypnotised (first hour), who hails from Ghent, Belgium. It was in this city that he witnessed the rise of legendary events such as "I Love Techno" and "10 Days of Techno." During that period, Hypnotised played a variety of genres across Ghent's most popular venues. These days, his sets are filled with deep progressive and tech sounds that truly “hypnotise.” Together with his longtime collaborator PatriZe, Hypnotised hosts the widely popular radio show *After Hours*, which airs on three international stations: TM Radio (USA), Cosmos Radio (Germany), and Scientific Sound Asia (Vietnam).
In addition to this weekly show, they also present a monthly broadcast called *AH Digital Essentials* on Proton Radio (USA). Hypnotised continues to host his own show *Energetic* on Progressive Beats Radio (Germany), and his captivating sets have earned him invitations to guest on several renowned stations globally, including Ibiza Global Radio, Frisky Radio, DI FM, Golden Wings Music Radio, Insomnia FM, Groove City Radio, Fnoob Techno Radio, Urgent FM, and Ibiza Soul Radio.
He has shared the stage with top-tier artists such as Marco Bailey, Tom Hades, Purple Disco Machine, Jesse Rose, and Nick Bril at prestigious festivals and venues. These include the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Deep on Deck Festival in South Africa, Club NL in Amsterdam, Decadance in Ghent, W Lounge in Amsterdam, Citylife in Terneuzen, Niche Club in Ghent, and Zanzibar in South Africa, among others.
In 2015, Hypnotised embarked on a new chapter with the launch of his own label, *AH Digital*, marking the start of his production career. His work consistently appears in the Beatport Top 100 releases, receiving widespread support from many notable artists. His debut EP, *People from the Otherworld*, reached number four on the charts, with the title track later remixed by No. 1 selling artist Rui Da Silva.
More recently, Hypnotised's EP *Infinity* made a major impact on the Beatport charts, reaching second place in both the Progressive House and Trance categories, and third in the Techno chart. In 2016, he began producing under the alias “Man on the Moon,” and his debut track *Sense* was signed by the esteemed Bonzai label. This track also won a remix contest on Metapop and received significant support and airplay on Belgium’s premier radio station, Studio Brussels.
Alongside his label AH Digital, Hypnotised has worked with various other labels, including Bonzai Progressive, Green Martian, SLC-6 Music, Pro-B-Tech Music, Stellar Fountain, Vesta Records, Insomnia FM, Abstract Space Records, Eternal Beats, Beat Block Records, Absurd State, Aeriform Records, Morninglory Music, Mystic Carousel Records, Crop Circle, Disposition Recordings, Hot Cue Music, Estribo Records, IN2U Records, and Tech Deluxe. New releases are expected soon on SLC-6 Music, Tantalum Records, and of course, AH Digital.
Guest DJ Chris Doppler.
This week's guest DJ is Chris Doppler. For Chris, his journey into music didn’t happen by chance. It all began in Athens during a time when the dance floors were alive with Electronic Music.
Born in the 1980s, Chris's musical influences expanded thanks to his sister, who introduced him to the sounds of disco, funk, and pop. This exposure led him to acquire his first pair of Technics SL1200 mk2s and begin his career as a DJ.
Chris immediately started experimenting with vinyl records, and it wasn’t long before local clubs invited him to perform. Alongside DJing, he studied sound engineering, and before long, he was creating his music. The rest, as they say, is history.
His debut track was released in 2011, and since then, Chris has consistently been active, releasing new music and refining his sound. He aims to continue his journey and reach a new level of artistic refinement in the years ahead.
In After Hours 556, we explore the captivating world of Progressive House with two hours of expertly crafted music. The first hour, mixed by Hypnotised, features tracks from artists such as Federico Bell, Matías Delóngaro, and Innerphonic, blending melodic and rhythmic elements seamlessly.
