In 2016, Hypnotised expanded his artistic range by producing under the alias "Man on the Moon." This week's highlighted guest DJ, Chris Drifter, hails from Budapest, Hungary and has a true passion for Electronic Dance Music. He first established himself as a Progressive and Tech House DJ in 2002 but has also delved into Techno and Minimal genres over the years.
Chris is an expert at captivating his audience, allowing them to share in his passion and emotions. By connecting with their senses, he elevates the event to a state of pure enjoyment for all attendees.
In terms of his production, Chris has worked with notable labels such as Baroque Records, Hotfingers, Supermarket, Natura Viva, and Pacha Records. In 2007, he took on the role of A&R Manager at SoundTribe Rekords, where he oversaw all musical aspects of the label.
The following year, Chris released the Blue Room EP through the renowned Plastic Fantastic record label. He also dropped his first mix album, Moments of Soundtribe VOL.1, in the same year.
In 2009, Chris won a remix competition hosted by Navigation Records, which earned him a nomination for the BEST UPCOMING DJ category in Soundhead, Hungary's premier electronic dance music magazine. In 2014, Pacha Recordings released his Pearls EP, which was also featured on the Pure Pacha Summer 2014 CD compilation.
Chris has performed in various countries including Croatia, Austria, Germany, Serbia, Slovakia, Russia, Sweden, and Poland. He has also opened for world-renowned DJs such as Hardwell, Inpetto, and James Zabiela.
His track "Above the Shadows" reached the number one spot on the Traxsource Progressive House Top 100, while "Flashback" landed in the top three on the Trackitdown Tech House Top 100 and "Time Capsule" claimed the top spot on the Trackitdown Deep Techno Top 100. In 2015, Chris launched his new podcast series, Drifting Memories. Two years later, he joined the renowned Legendary Moments crew and became A&R Manager/Label Manager at SoulAart Recordings.
