Guest DJ Pablo Prado.
This week's guest DJ is Pablo Prado, a prominent figure in Argentina's electronic music scene. Born in Córdoba, Pablo was exposed to a wide range of musical genres from an early age thanks to his father, who worked at some of the country’s leading radio stations. This early exposure fueled Pablo's passion for music, leading him to begin his DJ career at the age of 16.
By the late 1990s, Pablo was performing at some of Argentina's most renowned venues, including Pacha, Keops, and Molino Rojo, while also working with major radio stations. The track "Córdoba" received international recognition and was supported by Markus Schulz on his "Global DJ Broadcast" radio show. This milestone marked the beginning of a prolific production career that has spanned over two decades.
Pablo’s passion for advancing the Latin American electronic music scene led him to establish PLU Records in 2011. The label is dedicated to promoting the music of Latin DJs and producers, contributing significantly to the region’s growing influence in the global electronic music community.
In addition to his work as a DJ and producer, Pablo has made notable contributions as a radio and TV host. He is the creator and host of the monthly radio show "Southern Sounds" on DI.FM, where he curates and showcases fresh electronic music. He also served as an interviewer for "RESIDENTS TV," Argentina’s only television program dedicated to electronic music, where he engaged with iconic artists such as Lange, Nadia Ali, and The Thrillseekers.
With an extensive discography that includes two albums, 41 singles, and 10 remixes, Pablo's work has reached the Top 100 charts on platforms like Beatport. His releases span across labels such as Acute Recordings, Future State Records, and his own PLU Records, reflecting his versatility and dedication to his craft.
