Bicycle Corporation has announced guest DJ Brendon P for their 'Roots' episode 138. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency serving the region and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is comprised of the Italian duo of DJ and producer Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, who is also known as 6884. Over the course of their extensive music career, the duo has developed a diverse catalogue of more than 50 tracks that span various genres, including French House, Deep House, Tech House, and Techno.
Marco began his professional journey in the early 1990s, initially working as part of the team for House Music and Techno events under the name 'Urban People.' As his career progressed, his talents gained recognition within the music scene, establishing him as a highly sought-after figure throughout Italy.
His burgeoning talents eventually led him to the renowned nightclub brand Pacha in Egypt, where he served as the resident DJ. However, Marco's ambitions extended beyond national borders, resulting in numerous international bookings that took him across the globe and solidified his status as a prominent figure in the industry.
Hailing from Torino, Italy, Stefano displayed musical potential from an early age, a passion that developed throughout his formative years. Immersed in the musical arts, he dedicated much of his leisure time to honing his skills. His musical training encompassed classical piano, percussion, and drums, while he also developed a profound appreciation for the compositions of Chopin and the rhythms of the West African Djembe.
Among Stefano's various musical pursuits, one passion stood out above the rest: the art of DJing. As a teenager, he was captivated by the mesmerising skills of DJs, particularly their ability to spin and manipulate beats, which held an irresistible allure. The captivating rhythms he admired were rarely featured on Italian radio stations at the time, further intensifying Stefano's fascination with the craft.
For many, the notion of creating and performing these sounds, let alone sharing them with large audiences, might seem like a mere fantasy. However, Stefano remained undeterred by the apparent impossibility. Driven by a clear vision, he partnered with Marco. Through unwavering dedication, relentless effort, and sheer perseverance, Bicycle Corporation was born, bringing their shared musical vision to fruition.
Despite their current achievements, Marco and Stefano remain connected to their humble beginnings. Recently, they have revisited some of their early tracks, demonstrating their commitment to their roots. They have also established a Bandcamp page to share these tracks, allowing both long-time and new fans to engage with their early music.
