Bicycle Corporation is presenting guest DJ Murphy Kin, also known as DJ Lucy, for his new show 'Roots'. Scientific Sound Asia serves as the electronic music station, DJ agency, and promoter for the Asian region and beyond.
Bicycle Corporation, consisting of the talented DJ and Producer Marco Mei along with the skilled Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, is a dynamic Italian duo that has made a significant impact in the electronic music scene. With a combined passion for music production and performance, they have successfully created and released more than 50 original tracks and remixes that have captivated audiences worldwide.
Their unique blend of styles and influences has set them apart, allowing them to carve out a distinct niche within the industry. Through their collaborative efforts, Bicycle Corporation continues to push boundaries and explore House and Techno, solidifying their reputation as innovative and boundary-pushing artists in the electronic music scene.
During the early nineties, Marco embarked on his musical career as a DJ and producer. He initiated hosting his own events under the name 'Urban People' across Italy.
As a result of this, he became well-known and secured a residency at Pacha in Egypt. Subsequently, he started receiving DJ bookings on a global scale, propelling him into a worldwide musical journey.
Stefano, a native of Torino, Italy, discovered his innate musical abilities at a tender age, captivating those around him with his remarkable talent. His unwavering dedication to the art of music led him to immerse himself in the world of classical piano, percussion, and drums, each resonating deeply with his soul.
His passion for music was palpable, as he spent countless hours honing his skills and delving into the intricate nuances of musical composition. Among the myriad of musical influences that shaped Stefano's artistic journey, the timeless works of Chopin held a special place in his heart.
Furthermore, Stefano found a unique connection with the vibrant rhythms of West African Djembes, drawn to the pulsating beats that echoed the rich cultural heritage of the region. The rhythmic complexities and dynamic energy of the Djembes fueled his creativity, offering a new dimension to his musical repertoire.
Despite this, the sight of the DJ on stage, entertaining the crowd, fascinated young Stefano more and more. He wondered if those electronic beats, scarce on Italian radio in the '90s, could pave the way for a new phase in his life. Meeting Marco eventually led to the creation of the Bicycle Corporation.
Despite their current success, Marco and Stefan stay connected to their roots. Lately, they have been reminiscing about their early work by revisiting some of their original tracks and have established a Bandcamp page to promote their music. Through their Roots radio show, they shine a spotlight on influential DJs and producers in the Asian electronic music scene, demonstrating their dedication to the region's dynamic musical environment.
