Bicycle Corporation introduce guest DJ Murphy Kin a.k.a DJ Lucy for his new 'Roots' show. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency for the Asian region and globally.
Bicycle Corporation is a collaboration between Italian DJ and producer Marco Mei and talented producer Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Together, they have produced and remixed over 50 original tracks in House and Techno, making a lasting impact on the electronic music scene.
Marco embarked on his DJ career in the early 90s, motivated by the emergence of Electronic music and Afro-centric beats. After entering the industry, he established Urban People, organizing House and Techno events throughout Italy. This led Marco to further delve into sound and event organization, ultimately securing a residency at Pacha in Egypt.
This pivotal role enhanced his reputation, opening up international DJ opportunities that propelled him into a global career. His time at Pacha fueled his desire to showcase his talents to audiences around the world.
Stefano, hailing from Torino, Italy, demonstrated remarkable musical talent from a young age. Encouraged by his parents to pursue music, he dedicated himself to classical piano, percussion, and drums, drawing inspiration from diverse music styles, including Chopin and West African rhythms. This extensive background has significantly influenced his impact on electronic music.
Stefano's early experience with various genres laid a strong musical groundwork for him. His interest in electronic music started in the 90s, a time when it was seldom played on Italian radio, but its rhythms and melodies enthralled him.
Even with their achievements, Marco and Stefano stay humble. They have revisited some of their initial creations, demonstrating their devotion to their musical roots. Not long ago, they launched a Bandcamp page to share their works, highlighting their dedication to maintaining their artistic legacy.

Guest DJ Murphy Kin.
This week's guest DJ is Murphy Kin, also known as DJ Lucy. DJ Lucy's insatiable curiosity drives him to constantly explore new things. With roots in the movie industry, his work as a DJ and music producer is both limitless and boundless.
Experiencing Lucy's music is akin to watching a film; it features highs and lows. He doesn't confine his melodies to the 125~128 BPM range, and it's certainly not a straightforward 4/4 rhythm throughout. He won't transport you to euphoria right at the start of his sets. Instead, he guides you through his beats with a gradual build-up, taking you from romantic rock to classic old-school, flirtatious R&B, and then into Disco, Indie, Rock, and even Dance.
His music gives listeners the sensation of being in a cinematic moment, building up to a peak with its beats. Naturally upbeat and dynamic, DJ Lucy has a diverse appreciation for music and is familiar with a varied range of genres. He aims to capture your emotions through rhythm by transitioning between various styles, including Hip-Hop, Rock, Punk, Indie Rock, and Jazz.
Under the leadership of DJ Lucy, Ting Ting Disco has gained a reputation for hosting fantastic parties in various bars, pubs, clubs, and venues across Taipei and Shanghai since 2015. In 2017, Ting Ting Disco expanded its reach by performing in other Chinese cities and embarking on tours throughout Asia.
In 2021, its goal is to offer more than just parties by also launching online music. By gathering and incorporating music productions globally, it offers music enthusiasts a wider array of musical options.
During live performances, you'll discover that he is a musician who follows no rules or scripts. At times, his playing is influenced by the moment, the vibes, or the atmosphere, while at other times, he takes charge, directing everyone’s state of mind like a film director.
