Bicycle Corporation has released the playlist of music for their next 'Roots' show. Scientific Sound Asia Radio is the English language electronic music station for Sri Lanka, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, India, South Korea and the rest of Asia.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian duo of the DJ and producer Marco Mei plus the skilled Stefano Ugliano aka 6884. Together, they have produced more than 50 original pieces and remixes spanning the genres of House and Techno.
In the early nineties, Marco embarked on his musical journey as a disc jockey, captivated by the emergence of Electronic and Afrocentric music. Following his introduction, he started hosting his own techno and house music events under the collective name Urban People, spanning across Italy.
His talent as a DJ brought him fame, leading to a residency at the prestigious nightclub and event brand Pacha, Egypt. This opportunity at Pacha not only earned him acclaim but also opened doors for international DJ gigs, launching his global musical journey.
Stefano was born and raised in Torino, Italy, where he showed remarkable musical talents from a young age. He enthusiastically pursued studies in classical piano, percussion, and drums, and had a deep appreciation for Chopin's compositions as well as the sounds of the West African Djembe.
Nevertheless, as he matured, his interest in music blossomed, with his primary attraction being the sight of the electronic DJ captivating the audience. Little did he know that those elusive electronic beats rarely heard on '90s Italian radio stations, would herald a completely new phase in his life.
The upcoming show's playlist is listed below, showcasing the foundational influences and various genres that have inspired their electronic music releases. These genres encompass Funk, Disco, Soul, Afrobeat, Electro, Rare Groove, Hip Hop, and Afrocentric sounds. Bicycle Corporation are available for booking via our DJ agency for Asia.
