Bicycle Corporation has released the playlist of music for their next 'Roots' show. Scientific Sound Asia radio is the English language electronic music station for Sri Lanka, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, India, South Korea and the rest of Asia.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian duo of the DJ and producer Marco Mei plus the skilled Stefano Ugliano aka 6884. As a pair, they have released over 50 original works and remixes across the spectrum of House and Techno.
Marco embarked on his musical journey as a DJ in the early nineties, captivated by the emergence of Electronic music and Afrocentric sounds. Following his introduction to the scene, he initiated his own events under the banner of Urban People, spanning across Italy.
His talent as a DJ brought him fame, leading to a residency at Pacha, Egypt. This opportunity not only boosted his reputation but also opened doors for international DJ gigs, launching him on a global musical journey.
Stefano was born and raised in Torino, Italy, where he showed remarkable musical talent from a young age. He enthusiastically pursued classical piano, percussion, and drums, developing a fondness for Chopin's compositions and the complex rhythms of the West African Djembe.
Nevertheless, as he matured, his interest in music blossomed, particularly captivated by the sight of the electronic DJ energizing the audience. Little did he realize that those elusive electronic beats, rarely heard on '90s Italian radio, would lead to a completely new phase in his life.
The track list for the next show is laid out below and represents the 'Roots' of their sound and the genres they have drawn influence from in their electronic releases. These genres include Funk, Disco, Soul, Afrobeat, Electro, Rare Groove, Hip Hop, and Afrocentric. Bicycle Corporation is available for booking via our DJ agency for Asia.
