Bicycle Corporation has released the playlist of music for their next 'Roots' show. Scientific Sound Asia Radio is the English language Asian electronic music station for Sri Lanka, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, India, South Korea and the rest of Asia.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian duo of the DJ and producer Marco Mei plus the skilled Stefano Ugliano aka 6884. As a pair, they have released over 50 original works and remixes across the spectrum of House and Techno.
At the beginning of the early nineties, Marco was starting on his musical journey as a disc jockey mesmerised by the birth of Electronic music and Afrocentric music. After his introduction, he began doing his own House Music and Techno nights as a collective known as Urban People throughout the length of Italy.
His exceptional DJ skills brought him fame, leading to a residency at the renowned nightclub franchise Pacha, Egypt. This residency not only earned him acclaim but also opened up opportunities for international DJ gigs, launching him on a global musical journey.
Stefano, who was born and raised in Torino, Italy, showed remarkable musical talents from a young age. He enthusiastically pursued his studies in classical piano, percussion, and drums, and had a deep appreciation for the works of Chopin as well as the rhythmic beats of West African Djembe.
Nevertheless, as he matured, his interest in music blossomed, and he was particularly captivated by the sight of the electronic DJ captivating the audience. Little did he realize that those elusive electronic beats rarely heard on '90s Italian radio stations, would pave the way for a completely new chapter in his life.
The track list for the next show is laid out below and represents the 'Roots' of their sound and the genres they have drawn influence from in their electronic releases. These genres include Funk, Disco, Soul, Afrobeat, Electro, Rare Groove, Dub, Reggae, Brasilia, Hip Hop, and Afrocentric. Bicycle Corporation are available for booking via our DJ agency for Asia.
