Bicycle Corporation has revealed that DJ Jasmine Li will be the guest for episode 79 of their 'Electronic Roots' show. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an electronic dance music genre station, DJ agency, and promoter in Asia, broadcasting locally and worldwide.

Bicycle Corporation consists of two Italian artists, Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, who is also known as 6884. Throughout their music career, they have created more than 50 tracks spanning various genres such as French House, Deep House, Tech House, and Techno.

Starting in the early nineties, Marco launched his career as a crew member for techno and house music events such as ‘Urban People.’ Over time, he established himself in the music industry and became increasingly sought after throughout Italy.

After securing a residency at the renowned nightclub chain Pacha, he moved to Africa and started his residency in South Sanai, Egypt, specifically in Sharm el Sheikh. His achievements continued as he started getting bookings for events across the globe.

Stefano, hailing from Torino, Italy, displayed early potential as a musician. His passion for music started at a young age and gradually took over much of his free time. He delved into classical piano, percussion, and drums, while also developing a deep admiration for Chopin and West African Djembe.

Despite his deep appreciation for various music genres, Stefano had a special love for one particular thing that stood out above all others: The DJ at the turntables. The beats played by the DJ were rarely heard on any Italian radio station during that period, making them especially captivating for the young Stefano.

Playing those sounds in front of large audiences might seem like an impossible dream for many. However, Stefano was determined not to be discouraged. He had a vision that he was determined to fulfill, and with relentless effort, commitment, and determination, Bicycle Corporation was established.

Despite their current success, Marco and Stefan have not overlooked their modest origins. Lately, they have revisited some of their earlier tracks and established a Bandcamp page to share them.

Their Electronic Roots show features a diverse range of genres, such as House, Techno, Afro House, Organic House, Tech House, Melodic House, Arabica House, Melodic Techno, and more, showcasing some of the top electronic music artists from Asia.

The guest DJ for this week is Jasmine Li, a DJ, producer, and acoustic musician born in Guangzhou and based in Shanghai, currently living in Spain. Jasmine Li has been a prominent figure in the electronic music industry in China for more than two decades.

With a background as a professional Chinese classical and operatic musician, her strong foundation in the performing arts is evident. Her recognition at a national level in this field paved the way for her successful move into making electronic music in particular techno and house music songs.

Jasmine pursued her newly discovered passion by becoming the co-founder and charismatic owner of Shanghai's renowned underground club Celia, known for its vibrant atmosphere featuring deep house and dark techno music.

By adding this to her two previous club ventures, Shiva Lounge and Downtown, she has undeniably made a lasting impact on Shanghai's music scene. Jasmine frequently tours Asia and Europe, performing at renowned events such as Elrow, Amsterdam Dance Event, A Summer Story, Great Wall Festival, and numerous others.

When Jasmine is not DJ'ing or performing live, you can find her in her underground studio in Shanghai, working on music production for her Silverlining project. She blends traditional Chinese Pipa and Guzhen sounds with electronic music.

With almost two decades of international experience under her belt, Jasmine Li has shared the stage with numerous renowned DJs such as Sasha, Darren Emerson, Deadmau5, Mark Knight, Armin Van Buuren, Adana Twins, and many others.
