Bicycle Corporation comprises the Italian duo of DJ and producers, Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, who is also known as 6884. Over their years in the music industry, the duo has built an extensive discography, featuring over 50 tracks across various genres including French House, Deep House, Tech House, and Techno.
Marco started his music career in the early 1990s, diving into the lively House Music and Techno scene as part of the Urban People team. Thanks to his hard work and skills, he quickly gained attention in the music industry, becoming a popular DJ in Italy. Yet, Marco's aspirations went further, resulting in bookings abroad that took him to stages worldwide.
Originally from Torino, Italy, Stefano showed musical aptitude at a young age. Having a strong interest in the arts, he devoted a lot of his free time to developing his musical skills. Stefano's love for music motivated him to seek formal training in classical piano, percussion, and drums, which helped him gain a profound admiration for various musical genres, such as Chopin's compositions and the rhythms of West African Djembe.
Although Stefano had a wide range of musical interests, he was particularly drawn to one aspect of music: DJing. Fascinated by the skill of mixing records, young Stefano was mesmerized by the beats that were seldom played on Italian radio stations back then. This enchantment with DJing sparked his love for electronic music and propelled him towards a career in the industry.
Creating and performing electronic music in front of large crowds may appear to be an impossible dream for some. Nevertheless, Stefano was unwavering in his determination, guided by a clear vision that he was committed to realizing.
Upon meeting Marco and discovering their common love for music, they began a journey characterized by diligence, commitment, and steadfast resolve. Collaborating together, they turned their joint dream into a tangible entity, bringing Bicycle Corporation to life.
Despite their current success, Marco and Stefano stay connected to their modest origins. Looking back on their path, they went back to some of their earlier songs, treasuring the memories of their musical growth. As a tribute to their beginnings, they created a Bandcamp page to share these tracks, enabling fans to engage with their musical roots.
