Bicycle Corporation has announced guest DJ Rimka (see below) for their 27th 'Foundations' show. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music station serving the region and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian due of the DJ and Producer, Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, better known as 6884.
Marco began his career in the early nineties by working as a crew for events like ‘Urban People.’ With time he gained recognition on the music scene and steadily became a man in demand all across Italy. But then things didn’t stop there, after so much so success in his native land Marco was soon getting international bookings across the globe.
Stefano, from Torino, Italy was showing promise as a budding musician right from his childhood. He showed a keen interest in the musical arts which soon began to engulf most of his spare time. He studied classical piano, percussion and drums and also had a great appreciation for ‘Chopin’s and ‘West African Djembe.’
But with all his devotion to so many different kinds of music, there was one thing Stefano had a love for that was like none other, The man spinning the wheels, yes, The DJ became most enticing for the teenaged Stefano. Those beats were so seldom played on any Italian radio station of that time.
Making those sounds let alone playing them before masses of people would seem like a pipe dream to most. But Stefano would not be deterred, he had a vision which he would now see through to the end and with hard work, dedication and sheer tenacity, Bicycle Corporation came to be.
Even with all their success today, Marco and Stefan have not forgotten their humble beginnings. Just recently they’ve been going back over some of their earlier tracks and even set a Bandcamp page to distribute them.

This week the guest DJ is Rimka, raised in a multicultural home and nourished by multi-genre music from around the world, her life in Paris steeped her taste in electronic music and its sub-genres. Hitting the party capitals of the world from Ibiza to Berlin to catch top acts further fuelled her love for the scene.
Currently based in Kuala Lumpur, a city with a rapidly growing underground scene, she’s sharing her love for music inspired by her frequent travels to different parts of the world, absorbing their unique sound and vibe to create her distinctive sets and productions. Playing at some of the best House and Techno nights in the city has seen her spin from major capitals like NYC to islands like Bali.
Her passion for the House and Techno genre infused with her unique blend of global ethnic-centric music has seen her go from strength to strength with every set she plays, transporting her audience onto exotic cerebral mindscapes. This dedication to her craft has gained her opening spots for international DJs such as Re.You, You And Me, Sabb, Matthias Meyer, Technasia, Bas Iberlini, Amine K, Basti Grub, David Squillace, Stefano Noferini, Nora en Pure, Nico Pusch and Alle Farben to name a few.
Her first EP, Budaya on Sweatbox Records made it to Beatport's Top Melodic House & Techno Releases, received a write-up from Mixmag Asia and was supported by DJs like Dubfire, Animal Trainer, Pete Tong and many others. Her 2nd single on Lump Records VA compilation hit No.1 on Beatport's Top Afro House releases & her recent EP with Voyeur Music has support from some top artists in the scene.
