Bicycle Corporation has announced their playlist for their 'Roots' episode 129. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency serving the region and internationally.

Bicycle Corporation is an Italian duo of the DJ and Producer Marco Mei plus the skilled Stefano Ugliano aka 6884. They have released over 50 original tracks and various remixes in their partnership across house music and techno.

During the early nineties, Marco embarked on his musical career as a DJ and producer, organizing his own House Music and Techno events under the collective name 'Urban People' throughout Italy.

His exceptional talent and unique style behind the decks quickly caught the attention of industry insiders and music enthusiasts alike. This recognition led to a prestigious residency at the renowned nightclub Pacha, a pivotal moment that marked the beginning of a remarkable musical career.

The opportunity to showcase his skills at such a prestigious venue not only solidified his reputation within the local scene but also opened doors to a world of international opportunities. With his residency at Pacha, he not only captivated the audience with his electrifying sets but also attracted the interest of promoters and event organizers from around the globe.

Having been born and raised in Torino, Italy, Stefano showcased an exceptional musical talent from a young age. He avidly delved into classical piano, percussion, and drums, with a special affinity for Chopin and West African Djembe.

Nevertheless, the image of the DJ captivating the audience became increasingly fascinating to young Stefano. He pondered whether those electronic beats, which were rare on Italian radio stations in the '90s, would lead to a whole new chapter in his life, ultimately leading to the evolution of Bicycle Corporation.

Bicycle Corporation’s Roots Episode 129, aired on May 8, 2022, offers a stunning blend of Afrobeat, Rare Groove, Brazilian Jazz, Funk, and Electronica. Highlights include Afrobeat anthems like Fela Kuti’s "Sorrow, Tears And Blood" and Elkin & Nelson’s "Jivaro," alongside the Brazilian elegance of Airto Moreira’s "Celebration Suite" and Gilberto Gil’s "Maracatu Atômico."

Funk and Disco shine with tracks like KC and the Sunshine Band’s "I’m Your Boogie Man" and Hamilton Bohannon’s "The Party Train." Rare gems such as Irakere’s "Chekeré Son" and Milton Nascimento’s "A De O" enrich the set, creating a vibrant mix of global rhythms and timeless grooves.
