Bicycle Corporation has announced their playlist for their 'Roots' episode 131. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency serving the region and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is made up of the Italian DJ and producer duo, Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Throughout their years in the music industry, they have developed a vast discography with over 50 tracks spanning genres like French House, Deep House, Tech House, and Techno.
Marco began his music career in the early 1990s, immersing himself in the vibrant House Music and Techno scene with the Urban People team. His dedication and talent soon earned him recognition in the music industry, making him a well-known DJ in Italy. However, Marco's ambitions extended beyond, leading to international bookings that brought him to stages around the globe.
Stefano, hailing from Torino, Italy, demonstrated musical talent early on. With a keen interest in the arts, he spent much of his free time honing his musical abilities. His passion for music led him to pursue formal education in classical piano, percussion, and drums, which deepened his appreciation for diverse musical styles, including Chopin's works and the rhythms of the West African Djembe.
While Stefano had diverse musical interests, he was especially captivated by DJing. Enthralled by the art of mixing records, young Stefano was fascinated by the beats that were rarely aired on Italian radio at the time. This fascination with DJing ignited his passion for electronic music and drove him to pursue a career in the industry.
For some, the idea of creating and performing electronic music before large audiences might seem like an unattainable dream. However, Stefano remained steadfast in his resolve, driven by a clear vision that he was dedicated to bringing to life.
When they met Marco and realized their shared passion for music, they embarked on a journey marked by hard work, dedication, and unwavering determination. By working together, they transformed their shared dream into a reality, founding Bicycle Corporation.
Although they are successful now, Marco and Stefano remain grounded in their humble beginnings. Reflecting on their journey, they revisited some of their early songs, cherishing the memories of their musical development. To honor their origins, they launched a Bandcamp page to share these tracks, allowing fans to connect with their musical roots.
