Bicycle Corporation has revealed the lineup for their 'Roots' episode 136. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an electronic music station, DJ agency, and promoter in Asia and beyond.

Bicycle Corporation consists of the Italian duo formed by the DJ and Producer Marco Mei and the talented Stefano Ugliano also known as 6884. In the early nineties, Marco embarked on his musical career as a DJ and producer, organizing events under the moniker 'Urban People' throughout Italy.

As a result of this achievement, he gained recognition and secured a residency at the renowned international nightclub chain Pacha, opening up opportunities for DJ bookings worldwide and kickstarting his musical journey across the globe.

Stefano, who was born and raised in Torino, Italy, showed a remarkable talent for music from a young age. He enthusiastically pursued classical piano, percussion, and drums, with a particular fondness for Chopin's compositions and the rhythmic beats of the West African Djembe.

Nevertheless, the image of the DJ captivating the audience became increasingly fascinating for young Stefano. He pondered whether those electronic beats, which were rare on Italian radio stations in the '90s, would lead to a transformative new phase in his life, ultimately leading to the evolution of Bicycle Corporation.

Bicycle Corporation’s Roots Episode 136, aired on July 17, 2022, features a captivating mix of Afrobeat, Rare Groove, Funk, Disco, and Brasilian rhythms. Highlights include Afrobeat gems like Fela Kuti & Tony Allen’s "I.T.T (Shall I Bruk It Remixes)" and Amémé’s "Drum Beat," alongside Funk classics like Bobby Byrd’s "Hot Pants" and Bohannon’s "Foot Stomping Music."

Disco brilliance shines in tracks like Carol Williams’ "Love Is You" and Charo And The Salsoul Orchestra’s "Dance A Little Bit Closer." Brazilian influences emerge in Aroop Roy’s "Flecha De Fogo" and DJ Rubens’ "Give It Up." Electronica grooves round out the mix with selections like Daniel Wang’s "Don’t Go Lose This" and Duck Sauce’s "Captain Duck."

This episode seamlessly blends Afrobeat, Disco, Funk, Rare Groove, and Brazilian Jazz with touches of Electronica, Cosmic Disco, and Nu Disco, delivering an uplifting and globally inspired playlist.
