Bicycle Corporation has revealed the lineup for their 'Roots' episode 136. Scientific Sound Asia operates as an electronic music station, DJ agency, and promoter in Asia and beyond.

Bicycle Corporation consists of the Italian duo formed by the DJ and Producer Marco Mei and the talented Stefano Ugliano also known as 6884. In the early nineties, Marco embarked on his musical career as a DJ and producer, organizing events under the moniker 'Urban People' throughout Italy.

As a result of this achievement, he gained recognition and secured a residency at the renowned international nightclub chain Pacha, opening up opportunities for DJ bookings worldwide and kickstarting his musical journey across the globe.

Stefano, who was born and raised in Torino, Italy, showed a remarkable talent for music from a young age. He enthusiastically pursued classical piano, percussion, and drums, with a particular fondness for Chopin's compositions and the rhythmic beats of the West African Djembe.

Nevertheless, the image of the DJ captivating the audience became increasingly fascinating for young Stefano. He pondered whether those electronic beats, which were rare on Italian radio stations in the '90s, would lead to a transformative new phase in his life, ultimately leading to the evolution of Bicycle Corporation.

Bicycle Corporation ‘Roots’ 136 sets the tone with the unmistakable rhythms of Afrobeat, opening with Fela Kuti & Tony Allen’s “I.T.T” remix and Alexny’s deep Afro Disco House groove, “African Heritage.” The pulsating drum patterns of Amémé’s “Drum Beat” and Nazare Pereira’s Brazilian Samba rework keep the energy high, while Voilaaa’s “Pas Bon” injects a lively Funk-Disco fusion.

The journey through groove continues with soulful classics from Bobby Byrd’s “Hot Pants” and Hamilton Bohannon’s “Foot Stompin’ Music,” blending seamlessly into Booker T’s Afrobeat-infused “Melting Pot” edit. Disco legends shine through with Erotic Drum Band’s “Action” and Bunny Mack’s “Supafrico,” ensuring a timeless dancefloor experience.

Exploring deeper sounds, Cesária Évora’s “Angola” introduces rich Afro-Cuban textures, followed by Nu Disco gems like Chamba Sound’s “Make Me Feel Good” and Daniel Wang’s “Don’t Go Lose This.” The mix takes an electronic turn with Front 242’s “Commando” and DJ Steef’s futuristic electronic boogie, before diving into Dub and Latin Disco with Deadline and Ditongo’s tropical selections.

Closing out the set, Reggae rhythms from UB40’s “Nkomo A Go Go” and Funk-infused cuts from Ecstasy, Passion & Pain provide a smooth transition into the final groove-driven beats. Bicycle Corporation ‘Roots’ 136 is a masterclass in blending global sounds, bridging past and present with an irresistible energy that will keep listeners moving.
