Bicycle Corporation has published the playlist for their next 'Foundations' episode 69 this Friday. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music station, DJ agency, and promoter serving the region and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian duo of DJ and Producer, Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, better known as 6884. In their years of releasing music, the pair have produced well over 50 tracks including French House, Deep House, Tech House and Techno.
Marco started his career in the early 1990s by working as a crew member for events such as ‘Urban People.’ Over time, he gained recognition in the music scene and gradually became highly sought after throughout Italy. His success didn't end there; after achieving significant acclaim in his home country, Marco began receiving international bookings worldwide.
Stefano, hailing from Torino, Italy, demonstrated potential as an emerging musician from a young age. He developed a strong interest in the musical arts, which quickly consumed much of his free time. He learned classical piano, percussion, and drums, and held a deep admiration for composers like Chopin as well as the captivating sounds of instruments like the 'West African Djembe.'
Despite his passion for various types of music, there was one thing Stefano adored above all else: the DJ, the man spinning the wheels. For the teenage Stefano, this was the most captivating. Those beats were rarely heard on any Italian radio station during that era.
Creating those sounds, and especially performing them in front of large audiences, would appear to be an unrealistic dream for most. However, Stefano was not discouraged. He had a vision he was determined to realise and then he met Marco, and through hard work, dedication, and sheer tenacity, Bicycle Corporation was born.
Despite their current success, Marco and Stefan still remember their modest origins. Lately, they've been revisiting some of their initial tracks and have even established a Bandcamp page to share them.
