Bicycle Corporation has published the playlist for their next Foundations episode 89 this Friday. Scientific Sound Asia is an Asian electronic music station serving the region and internationally.
Bicycle Corporation is an Italian duo of DJ and producers, Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, better known as 6884. In their years of releasing music, the pair have produced over 50 tracks from French House, Deep House, Tech House to Techno.
Marco began his career in the early nineties by doing House Music events and Techno events as a crew called Urban People. With time he gained recognition on the music scene and steadily became a man in demand all across Italy. But then things didn’t stop there, after so much success in his native land Marco was soon getting international bookings across the globe.
Stefano, hailing from Torino, Italy, displayed early signs of a promising musical talent. His passion for the musical arts quickly consumed much of his free time. He dedicated himself to studying classical piano, percussion, and drums, while also cultivating a deep appreciation for Chopin and the West African Djembe.
But with all his devotion to so many different kinds of music, there was one thing Stefano loved that was like none other, The man spinning the wheels, yes, The DJ became most enticing for the teenaged Stefano. Those beats were seldom played on any Italian radio station of that time.
Making those sounds let alone playing them before masses of people would seem like a pipe dream to most. But Stefano and Marco would not be deterred, they had a vision which they would now see through to the end and with hard work, dedication and sheer tenacity, Bicycle Corporation came to be.
Despite their success today, Marco and Stefan have not forgotten their humble beginnings. They’ve recently been over some of their earlier tracks and even set up a Bandcamp page to distribute them.
Bicycle Corporation’s Foundations Episode 89 features a meticulously curated blend of Techno, Melodic Techno, and Progressive House that takes listeners on a dynamic journey through contemporary electronic music. Key highlights include Francesca Lombardo’s "Synthesize" and Maceo Plex’s "Just You And" for melodic depth, paired with high-energy Techno from Popof & Alan Fitzpatrick’s "Rough 'N' Raw" and Gregor Tresher’s "Quiet Distortion."
