Bicycle Corporation has revealed the schedule for their upcoming 'Roots' event taking place this Sunday, September 8th, 2019, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a repeat on Tuesday. Scientific Sound Asia Radio is a underground electronic music platform, DJ agency, and event coordinator active in Malaysia, China, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, and various other locations across Asia.
Comprising the Italian DJ and Producer Marco Mei and the talented Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, Bicycle Corporation has put out a variety of tracks in the House Music and Techno genres.
Marco began his musical journey in 1991 as a DJ with 'Urban People,' organizing events throughout Italy. His skills drew the interest of Pacha, where he obtained a residency, leading to worldwide recognition, multiple DJ performances, and travels around the globe.
Having been raised in Torino, Italy, Stefano displayed exceptional musical abilities early on, as well as a talent for mathematics (although that's a different story). He enthusiastically pursued the study of classical piano, percussion, and drums, particularly cherishing Chopin and West African Djembes.
Over time, young Stefano found the persona of 'the Disc Jockey' more and more intriguing. Unbeknownst to him, the electronic beats, scarce on Italian radio stations in the '90s, would herald the start of a new phase in his life.
Below you can find the track list for the upcoming show, featuring the fundamental influences and genres that have influenced Bicycle Corporation's electronic music productions. These genres include Funk, Disco, Soul, Afrobeat, Electro, Rare Groove, Hip Hop, and Afrocentric music.
