Bicycle Corporation has unveiled the playlist for its upcoming 'Roots' show. Scientific Sound Asia serves as the electronic music station, DJ agency, and promoter in English for Malaysia, China, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, and other parts of Asia.
Bicycle Corporation is an electronic duo of the Italian DJ and Producer Marco Mei plus the skilled Stefano Ugliano aka 6884. As a duo, they have released well over 50 tracks ranging in genres from Tech House, French House, and Techno.
Going back to the early nineties Marco was setting off on his musical journey as a DJ. He began doing his own nights as an ensemble known as 'Urban People' throughout the whole of Italy.
As a result of this, he received recognition and later secured a residency at Pacha in Egypt. This led to international recognition and DJ bookings, launching him on a musical journey around the world.
Stefano, who grew up in Torino, Italy, showed remarkable musical talents from a young age. He devoted himself to studying classical piano, percussion, and drums with great passion, particularly enjoying the works of Chopin and West African Djembes.
Yet, during his early years, the image of 'the guy spinning records' became increasingly fascinating to teenage Stefano. Little did he know that those electronic beats, which were difficult to find on Italian radio stations in the '90s, would lead to a completely new chapter in his life.
The track list for the next show is laid out below and represents the 'Roots' of their sound and the genres they have drawn influence from in their electronic releases. These genres include Funk, Disco, Soul, Afrobeat, Electro, Rare Groove, Hip Hop, and Afrocentric. Bicycle Corporation are available for booking via our DJ agency for Asia.
