Bicycle Corporation has revealed that DJ Jasmine Li will be the featured guest on episode 99 of their 'Foundations' show. Scientific Sound Asia is recognized as a prominent electronic dance music genre platform and DJ agency in Asia, catering to a global audience.
The Italian duo of DJ and producer Marco Mei and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, form Bicycle Corporation. Together, they have created a varied collection of over 50 tracks and remixes spanning genres like Deep House, Tech House, French House, Melodic, and Techno.
Marco embarked on his house music journey in the early 90s as a DJ and producer, entertaining audiences at nearby gatherings. Over time, he transitioned to hosting House and Techno music events alongside his collective, 'Urban People,' gaining recognition across Italy.
After achieving success in his home country, he obtained a residency at the well-known nightclub franchise Pacha. He then relocated to Africa to start his residency in South Sinai, Egypt, particularly in Sharm el Sheikh. His residency and his reputation for energizing the nightlife scene resulted in international DJ bookings and launched him into a global musical adventure.
Stefano, born in Turin, Italy, displayed a natural musical talent from a young age. Growing up in a rich musical environment, he diligently learned classical piano, percussion, and drums, nurturing his love for composers like Chopin and instruments such as the West African Djembe.
Stefano became more and more intrigued by the charm of the disc jockey who captivated the audience. He pondered whether the electronic music that was seldom heard on Italian radio stations in the 1990s could signify a new beginning for him. This moment marked the convergence of Stefano and Marco's journeys, culminating in the establishment of Bicycle Corporation through their partnership.
Despite their worldwide recognition, Marco and Stefano remain grounded in their roots as young individuals delving into electronic music. Lately, they have been reflecting on their past creations, and considering how their music has evolved over time. Additionally, they have set up a Bandcamp page to release these tracks, providing fans with an insight into their artistic development.
By showcasing renowned DJs and producers from Asia, the Foundations House Music and Techno radio show serves as a platform to spotlight the house music artists and techno artists that are essential to the electronic music scene in the region. Marco and Stefano use their program to highlight the diverse skills and vibrant energy that characterize the Asian electronic music community.
