Scientific Sound Asia welcomes Blaze DJ for his next guest show 'Ministry of Breaks' 8 on our radio station. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian promoter, DJ agency, and electronic dance music genre radio station for the region with an international following.

Blaze DJ is a British DJ and producer hailing from Walthamstow in the East End of London, U.K. His entire career and background have been intertwined with underground music culture and DJing.

According to the 10,000-hour rule, it typically takes around 10,000 hours of practice to become an expert and master one's craft. However, for Blaze DJ, 10,000 hours served as just an apprenticeship.

The London-based DJ has dedicated so many hours that he has developed an almost telepathic connection to the turntables, the music he plays, and his audience.

Growing up in a home filled with diverse musical styles and genres, Blaze DJ credits his parents and siblings as his earliest influences.

A fusion of jazz, funk, disco, New Romantics, and 80's synth-pop shaped his musical preferences, but it was hearing the cassette House Sounds of Chicago Volume 1 in 1987 that solidified his sound. Since then, music has not only been a passion for Blaze DJ but has influenced every facet of his life and career.

Starting his DJing journey at 15, Blaze DJ quickly made a name for himself, from local pubs in Edmonton to residencies in Birmingham and Faliraki, playing for crowds of up to 2,000 people. A true member of the Acid House era, Blaze DJ feels fortunate to have witnessed the evolution of the UK's electronic music scene from its inception to the present day.

Despite thirty years in the industry, Blaze DJ maintains the same energy and enthusiasm in his sets today as he did during the epic parties of the early 1990s, always centred around house music.

Influenced by artists spanning different eras, Blaze DJ has skillfully blended his inspirations into his unique sound, characterized by classic house with elements of breaks, acid, and techno.

Blaze DJ's impact extended beyond the DJ booth; he revolutionized electronic music retail by combining DJing and production equipment in his shop, setting a new standard in the industry. After a break in 2005, Blaze DJ returned to DJing with renewed passion and vigour.

Despite recent challenges, Blaze DJ has already secured three monthly radio slots and is releasing music under Industrial Force and Zeta Records, ready to make his mark on the club scene once again.

Currently co-hosting Sonic Alchemy events in Islington and hosting Ministry of Breaks events in East London, Blaze DJ's shows feature Breaks, Breakbeat, UK Bass, and Progressive Breaks. Tune in to this month's show, originally aired on Friday, 3rd December, using the Mixcloud player below.
