Blaze DJ has disclosed the playlist for his upcoming broadcast, titled 'Ministry of Breaks' episode 31, on our radio station. Scientific Sound Asia serves as the premier electronic music station and DJ agency in Asia, catering to a diverse global audience.
Blaze DJ, hailing from Walthamstow in the East End of London, U.K., is a British DJ and producer with a strong connection to underground music culture and the art of DJing. Throughout his entire career, he has remained deeply rooted in this scene.
Based on the principle known as the "10,000 hours rule," it is believed that around 10,000 hours of deliberate practice is required to reach a level of expertise and proficiency in a particular field. However, for Blaze DJ, the notion of 10,000 hours merely served as an initial learning period or apprenticeship.
The DJ from London has dedicated countless hours towards his craft, resulting in a deep and intuitive understanding of the turntables, the music he selects, and the audience he entertains. Growing up in a household immersed in a diverse range of musical tastes and genres, Blaze DJ credits his parents and siblings as his earliest sources of inspiration.
His musical preferences were shaped by a fusion of Jazz, Funk, Disco, New Romantics, and 80's synth-pop. However, it was the moment he stumbled upon the cassette tape House Sounds of Chicago Volume 1 in 1987, during his school days, that Blaze DJ truly found his calling. From that point forward, music became more than just a hobby for him. It became a driving force behind his nights out, his career, and every facet of his existence.
Starting his DJing career at the young age of 15, Blaze DJ swiftly made a name for himself as a sought-after DJ. He began by entertaining crowds at a local pub in Edmonton and eventually landed residencies in Birmingham and Faliraki, where he often performed for large audiences of up to 2,000 people.
Blaze DJ has experienced it all when it comes to DJing, making him a seasoned professional in the field. As a true representative of the Acid House generation, Blaze DJ considers himself fortunate to have witnessed the evolution of the UK's electronic music scene from its early stages to the present day.
However, even after three decades, he continues to exude the same level of enthusiasm and energy during his performances, just as he did when he first started playing at legendary parties in the early 1990s. Blaze DJ's passion for house music remains unwavering throughout his career.
Drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artists spanning from the past to the present, Blaze DJ skillfully incorporates their influences to create a distinct and original sound. Combining elements of classic house, subtle breaks, a touch of acid, and a sprinkle of techno, Blaze DJ's style emerges as a unique tapestry of musical expression.
Blaze DJ's impact extended beyond his performances as a DJ. He gained experience by working in DJ stores and was the pioneer in the country to merge DJing and production equipment into a single establishment.
Furthermore, he played a pivotal role in completely transforming the retail experience for the electronic music community. By 2005, Blaze DJ appeared to have lost his passion for performing. Despite continuing to work in the music industry as an audio-visual designer and consultant, focusing on enhancing sound systems in renowned clubs worldwide, he ultimately decided to retire from his DJing career and put his headphones aside.
After a break of fifteen years, Blaze DJ made a comeback with renewed passion and a strong determination to excel in his performances. He wasted no time and quickly gained momentum. Despite the challenges faced in the past year, he has already secured three monthly radio slots with Ibiza Club News, Underground Kollektiv, and Scientific Sound Asia.
Armed with an extensive collection of breaks and breakbeat music, and presently signed to Industrial Force and Zeta Records, he is prepared to make a triumphant return to the nightclub scene. With over three decades of experience, he stands as one of the most dedicated DJs in the international breaks community.
The Ministry of Breaks brand has been steadily growing in popularity for the past couple of years and is now becoming well-known in London, the capital of the UK, for its distinctive combination of breaks, bass, and bleeps. Blaze DJ has also been keeping busy with the relaunch of his personal YouTube channel, as well as the MOB YouTube channel and Breaks n Bass parties.
Blaze DJ has been diligently organizing Breakin Bass, an all-day party under the banner of Ministry of Breaks, scheduled for March 16th in East London. This event promises to be an exciting affair with renowned artists such as The House Crew and Nicky Blackmarket headlining the party, get ready for an absolute blinder.
Tune in to his radio program devoted to Breaks and Breakbeat, where you'll experience a nice fusion of Breaks, UK Bass, Nuskool, Oldskool, and Garage tracks. Catch the live broadcast on Friday, January 26th, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a repeat airing on Tuesday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
