Scientific Sound Asia has released the latest playlists for DJ Joshua's radio shows, Floating Beats and Velvety Elements. As a leading entity in the Asian electronic music scene, Scientific Sound Asia functions as a radio station, promoter, and DJ agency, significantly influencing the development of the electronic music community in Asia.

Hailing from Évora, Portugal, DJ Joshua has played a pivotal role in the electronic music scene for many years. His vast array of digital files, vinyl records, CDs, and cassettes underscores his lasting dedication to the genre.

Throughout his career, DJ Joshua has mastered a variety of genres, including Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout. Even with the difficulties the rave scene encountered in Portugal during the 1990s, Joshua remained dedicated to electronic music.

In response to societal challenges and criticism, he devised innovative methods to produce and distribute his music. By frequently collaborating with other artists, he hosted events in clubs and bars, transforming them into pivotal hubs for House and Techno fans, thereby extending his influence well beyond his local area.

Following the birth of his child, DJ Joshua reduced his involvement in events and radio to focus on his family. Yet, as his daughter matured, his love for music was reignited, leading him to launch the Floating Beats podcast and radio show. This program is celebrated for its eclectic electronic music collection, highlighting Joshua's impeccable mixing skills, careful track choices, and emotional journey through different genres.

DJ Joshua perceives music as a spiritual refuge that takes listeners on a sonic journey beyond traditional artistic boundaries. In January 2024, he expanded his artistic impact by founding JFLM Recordings, a record label dedicated to showcasing his compositions and supporting his production efforts.

Floating Beats 670 demonstrates DJ Joshua's ability to craft immersive musical journeys. The first hour is a hypnotic exploration of raw, deep, and driving Techno, showcasing artists like William Arist, Lindsey Herbert, and DJ Deep, whose tracks deliver relentless energy and entrancing beats.

In the second hour, Joshua transitions to the Velvety Elements segment, offering a smoother vibe with Jackin, Deep, and Minimal House. Highlights include the soulful grooves of Joss Moog and the dynamic rhythms of Manuel Sahagun and 6th Borough Project.

Whether you're a Techno enthusiast or a House aficionado, this episode is a must-listen for fans of high-quality electronic music. Remember to tune in to his live radio show on Monday, December 23rd, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. Indochina Time (ICT). If you miss the live broadcast, you can listen to a replay on Friday from 6 to 8 a.m. (ICT).
