Scientific Sound Asia has unveiled the newest playlists for DJ Joshua's radio programs, Floating Beats and Velvety Elements. As a prominent figure in the Asian electronic music scene, Scientific Sound Asia operates as a radio station, promoter, and DJ agency, playing a major role in shaping the electronic music community in Asia.

Originating from Évora, Portugal, DJ Joshua has played a significant role in the electronic music scene for numerous years. His extensive assortment of digital files, vinyl records, CDs, and cassettes highlights his enduring commitment to the genre.

During his career, DJ Joshua has excelled in multiple genres, such as Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout. Even with the challenges faced by the rave scene in Portugal in the 1990s, Joshua stayed committed to electronic music.

Facing societal challenges and criticism, he developed innovative ways to create and share his music. By regularly partnering with other artists, he organized events in clubs and bars, turning them into essential gathering spots for House and Techno enthusiasts, thus broadening his influence far beyond his local community.

After the birth of his child, DJ Joshua lessened his participation in events and radio to prioritize his family. However, as his daughter grew, his passion for music was rekindled, prompting him to start the Floating Beats podcast and radio show. This show is renowned for its diverse electronic music collection, showcasing Joshua's exceptional mixing abilities, thoughtful track selections, and emotional exploration of various genres.

DJ Joshua views music as a spiritual sanctuary, guiding listeners on a sonic adventure that transcends conventional artistic limits. In January 2024, he broadened his artistic influence by establishing JFLM Recordings, a record label aimed at highlighting his creations and bolstering his production endeavors.

Floating Beats 675 delivers yet another exceptional performance from DJ Joshua, showcasing a diverse array of genres that highlight his artistry and knack for blending intricate beats. In the first hour, listeners are treated to hypnotic grooves and driving rhythms, with standout tracks like Delano Smith & Sillygirlcarmen’s "Queen (Instrumental)" and Fantastic Man’s "The Axis Theme."

The set also features original productions under Joshua Onairam, such as the melodic and emotive "Country Dusk" and "Country Sunset," adding a personal touch to the mix. Tracks like Conforce's "Stable Velocity" and The Deviantt's "Time Machine" further elevate the hour with their deep, pulsating techno beats.

The second hour, Velvety Elements 247, transitions into a more soulful and uplifting vibe, led by artists like Gari Romalis and Felipe Gordon. Deep House lovers will revel in tracks like Manuel Sahagun’s "Fun-Kee" and Shabi’s "Got Somethin'."

The smooth interplay of Deep Tech and House tracks, including Tomàn's "Courtyard" and Subsonique’s "My Life," keeps the energy flowing while maintaining a refined and laid-back groove. The inclusion of tracks like G Flame & Mr. G’s "Sounds Of The Underground" brings a touch of Tech House energy to the mix, closing the episode on a high note.

These episodes perfectly capture DJ Joshua’s versatility and ability to balance soulful rhythms with driving beats. Whether you're a fan of melodic journeys or deep, hypnotic grooves, these episodes offer something for everyone. Don’t miss out on this expertly crafted session!
