DJ Joshua has unveiled the latest playlists for his popular shows, 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements.' Scientific Sound Asia, a leading electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency in Asia supports these broadcasts with a global audience.

Hailing from Evora, Portugal, DJ Joshua is renowned as an avid collector of electronic music. His passion lies in curating a diverse range of electronic music genres across multiple formats, including digital, vinyl, compact disc, and tape.

In his teenage years, Joshua immersed himself in collecting a variety of genres, such as Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout. He dedicated countless hours to perfecting his skills as a DJ and meticulously organising his extensive collection.

During the early nineties, rave music faced significant resistance and was largely absent from Portuguese airwaves. Through perseverance and dedication, Joshua secured residencies at local stations and began to share his enthusiasm for rave music with a broader audience.

Joshua's journey continued with events at clubs and bars, building a strong reputation in his hometown and beyond. After becoming a father, he stepped back from performing and radio, but his passion for music remained.

As his daughter grew older, Joshua felt a renewed connection to his roots and launched the Floating Beats podcast and radio series. Over the years, this series has gained a substantial following and maintains its original vision across several prominent online platforms.

Not stopping there, Joshua introduced Velvety Elements, a show dedicated to exploring the deeper and more soulful aspects of House music. Both podcasts have been broadcast internationally, including on our station, for the past two years.

Joshua believes, "Music is an art form. It merges elements to convey emotions and make the body move. Here, you’ll experience sounds that can float and settle on your body – enjoy the journey."

Each week, Joshua explores a rich tapestry of House and Techno sub-genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, and Melodic Techno.

Listen to the shows live on Monday 26th of December 2022 from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and re-airing on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
