DJ Joshua has released the latest playlists for his weekly shows 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements.' Scientific Sound Asia remains a leading force in the Asian electronic music scene, promoting top DJs and electronic dance music globally.

Hailing from Evora, Portugal, DJ Joshua is well-known for his extensive collection of electronic music. His dedication spans various formats, including vinyl, digital, CD, and tape, showcasing his commitment to house music, techno, and other electronic genres.

In his teenage years, Joshua explored a wide range of electronic music genres such as Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout. He spent significant time perfecting his DJ skills and curating his vast collection.

During the early 1990s, rave music faced resistance and limited exposure in Portugal. Joshua’s determination led him to secure residencies at local radio stations, where he began sharing his love for rave and electronic music with a broader audience.

Joshua gained recognition through his events at clubs and bars, earning a reputation in his hometown and beyond. After becoming a father, he took a break from live performances and radio work to focus on family life.

As his daughter grew older, Joshua returned to his musical roots with the launch of the Floating Beats podcast and radio series. Over the years, he has built a solid following and continues to share his vision on various online platforms.

Joshua also introduced 'Velvety Elements,' a show dedicated to exploring the more profound and soulful aspects of house music. Both shows have been broadcast internationally, including on our station, for the past two years.

Joshua believes, “Music is an art form. The fusion of elements can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body—enjoy it.”

Each week, Joshua explores a range of electronic dance music genres, including Deep House, Techno, Progressive House, and Melodic Techno. His shows offer an engaging mix of house music and techno sub-genres, catering to enthusiasts of both classic and contemporary electronic sounds.

Listen to the shows live on Monday 2nd of January 2023 from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and re-airing on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
