DJ Joshua has released the playlists for his weekly 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements' shows. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station and DJ Agency for the region with a global following.

DJ Joshua originates from Evora, Portugal and is well-regarded for his extensive collection of electronic music across various formats including digital, vinyl, compact disc, and tape.

In his teenage years and early adulthood, he focused on collecting Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout. He dedicated countless hours to perfecting his skills as a DJ and organising his expansive music library.

During the early nineties, rave music faced resistance and was largely absent from Portuguese airwaves. With persistence, Joshua secured residencies at local stations and began sharing his passion for rave music with the public.

He started organising events at clubs and bars with his close friends, gaining a strong reputation in his hometown and beyond. After becoming a father, he took a break from events and radio performances.

As his daughter grew older, Joshua felt a strong desire to reconnect with his roots. He launched the Floating Beats podcast and radio series, which has since garnered a substantial following and is featured on several prominent online platforms.

His passion for music did not end there; he later created Velvety Elements to celebrate the deeper, soulful aspects of House music. Both of his podcasts have been broadcast internationally, including on Scientific Sound Asia over the past two years.

In his own words, "Music is an art form. The fusion of elements can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body; enjoy it."

In his weekly shows, Joshua explores a blend of House Music and Techno sub-genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.

Listen to the shows live on Monday the 24th of April 2023 from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and re-airing on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
