DJ Joshua, originating from Evora, Portugal, is widely recognized as an electronic music hoarder with a deep passion for collecting a vast array of genres across various formats, including digital, vinyl, CDs, and tapes. His journey into the world of electronic music began in his teenage years, when he devoted himself to collecting Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout, spending countless hours mastering the art of DJing and organizing his extensive music library.

In the early 1990s, despite the resistance to rave music in Portugal and its absence from the airwaves, DJ Joshua's perseverance paid off when he secured residencies on local stations, allowing him to share his love of rave music with a broader audience. His reputation grew as he performed at clubs and bars, gaining recognition both in his hometown and beyond.

After embracing fatherhood, Joshua took a break from the nightlife scene to focus on his family. However, as his daughter grew older, he felt a strong pull to return to his musical roots, leading to the creation of the "Floating Beats" podcast and radio series. Over the years, his dedication to his craft has garnered a loyal following on several notable online platforms.

Not stopping there, Joshua launched another show, "Velvety Elements," to explore the more profound and soulful side of House music. Both podcasts have gained international recognition, with broadcasts airing on Scientific Sound Asia, a leading Asian electronic music station and DJ agency with a global following.

In his own words, Joshua describes his music as, "Music is an art form. The fusion of elements can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body, enjoy it."

Each week, DJ Joshua delves into a rich mix of House and Techno sub-genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno. His playlists often feature tracks by renowned artists such as Terry Lee Brown Junior, Demuir, Prunk, and Satoshi Fumi.

Tune in to listen live on Monday, 27th February 2023, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with a re-airing on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
