DJ Joshua has unveiled the latest playlists for his popular weekly shows, 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements'. Scientific Sound Asia, a leading electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency in the Asian region supports his broadcasts, reaching a global audience.

Hailing from Evora, Portugal, DJ Joshua is renowned for his extensive collection of electronic music. His passion involves gathering a diverse range of electronic genres across multiple formats, including digital, vinyl, compact disc, and tape.

During his formative years, Joshua immersed himself in Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout, dedicating countless hours to perfecting his skills as a DJ and curating his expansive music library. Despite facing resistance to rave music in Portugal during the early nineties, he persevered, securing residencies at local stations and introducing rave music to a wider audience.

His early career saw him organising events at clubs and bars, where he gained a solid reputation both locally and beyond. Following the birth of his daughter, he took a hiatus from public performances and radio.

As his daughter grew older, Joshua rekindled his passion for music, launching the 'Floating Beats' podcast and radio series. This endeavour quickly garnered a strong following, allowing him to continue sharing his unique vision through various online platforms.

Expanding his repertoire, Joshua later introduced 'Velvety Elements' to showcase the deeper and more soulful aspects of House music. Both shows have been broadcast internationally and on Scientific Sound Asia over recent years.

In his own words, "Music is an art form. The fusion of elements can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body, enjoy it."

Each week, DJ Joshua explores a range of House Music and Techno sub-genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.

Tune in to the shows live on Monday, 24th July 2023, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with re-airings on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
