DJ Joshua has released the playlists for his weekly 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements' shows. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station and DJ agency for the region with a global following.

DJ Joshua, born and raised in Evora, Portugal, has gained a reputation as an electronic music enthusiast. His primary hobby is collecting electronic music across various formats including digital, vinyl, compact disc, and tape.

During his teenage years, Joshua accumulated an impressive collection of Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout music. He devoted countless hours to perfecting his skills as a DJ and organising his extensive music library.

In the early nineties, rave music faced resistance and was notably absent from Portuguese airwaves. Through perseverance, Joshua managed to secure residencies at local stations, sharing his passion for rave music with a broader audience.

He began hosting events at clubs and bars with his close allies, earning a strong reputation in his hometown and beyond. After the birth of his first child, Joshua took a hiatus from live events and radio performances.

As his daughter grew, Joshua reconnected with his roots, leading to the creation of the Floating Beats podcast and radio series. Over the years, he has built a dedicated following and continues his original vision through prominent online platforms.

Not resting on his laurels, Joshua introduced Velvety Elements to explore the deeper and more soulful side of House music. His podcasts have been featured on House Music and Techno radio stations worldwide, including our own.

In his own words, 'Music is an art form. The fusion of elements can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body. Enjoy it.'

In his weekly shows, Joshua delves into a mix of House Music and Techno sub-genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.

Listen to the shows live on Monday, 27th November 2023, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT), with replays on Fridays from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
