DJ Joshua has released the playlists for his weekly 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements' shows. Scientific Sound Asia is a prominent radio station, promoter, and DJ agency with a global following.
Born and raised in Evora, Portugal, DJ Joshua is well-known for his extensive collection of electronic music across various formats, including digital, vinyl, compact disc, and tape. His passion spans a wide range of genres, from Techno and House to Drum and Bass and Chillout.
During his early years, DJ Joshua dedicated countless hours to perfecting his skills as a DJ and organising his vast music library. Despite facing significant resistance to rave music in Portugal in the early nineties, he persevered and managed to secure residencies on local stations, sharing his enthusiasm for rave music with a broader audience.
He began hosting events at clubs and bars, gaining a strong reputation in his hometown and beyond. After the birth of his first child, DJ Joshua took a break from public performances and radio shows.
As his daughter grew, DJ Joshua reignited his passion by launching the Floating Beats podcast and radio series. This initiative earned him a dedicated following and allowed him to continue sharing his vision through various online platforms.
Further expanding his reach, DJ Joshua introduced the Velvety Elements show to celebrate the deeper, soulful side of House music. His podcasts have been featured on House and Techno radio stations globally, including our own.
In his own words, "Music is an art form. The fusion of elements can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body. Enjoy it."
