DJ Joshua has released the playlists for his weekly 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements' shows. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station and DJ agency for the region with a global following.

DJ Joshua originates from Evora in Portugal and is renowned for his extensive collection of electronic music across various formats, including digital, vinyl, compact disc, and tape.

In his teenage years and early adulthood, he amassed a diverse collection of Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout. He dedicated countless hours to perfecting his skills as a DJ and organising his extensive music library.

During the early nineties, rave music faced resistance and was absent from Portuguese airwaves. Through patience and perseverance, Joshua secured residencies at local stations, sharing his passion for rave music with the public.

He began hosting events at clubs and bars with his close allies, gaining a strong reputation in his hometown and beyond. After becoming a father, he took a hiatus from events and radio performances.

As his daughter grew older, Joshua felt a strong desire to reconnect with his roots. He launched the Floating Beats podcast and radio series, which has since attracted a substantial following and is featured on several notable online platforms.

Not content to stop there, Joshua later created Velvety Elements to celebrate the deeper, soulful side of House music. Both podcasts have been broadcast internationally, including on Scientific Sound Asia over the past two years.

In his own words, "Music is an art form. The fusion of elements can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body; enjoy it."

Each week, DJ Joshua explores a diverse range of House and Techno sub-genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.

Listen to the shows live on Monday, the 8th of May 2023, from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and re-airing on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
