Scientific Sound Asia has released the latest playlists for DJ Joshua's radio shows, Floating Beats and Velvety Elements. As a leading entity in the Asian electronic music scene, Scientific Sound Asia functions as a radio station, promoter, and DJ agency, significantly influencing the electronic music community in Asia.

Hailing from Évora, Portugal, DJ Joshua has played a pivotal role in the electronic music scene for many years. His vast array of digital files, vinyl records, CDs, and cassettes underscores his lasting dedication to the genre.

Throughout his career, DJ Joshua has mastered a variety of genres, including Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout. Despite the difficulties encountered by the rave scene in Portugal during the 1990s, Joshua remained dedicated to electronic music.

Confronted with societal challenges and criticism, he devised innovative methods to produce and distribute his music. By frequently collaborating with other artists, he hosted events in clubs and bars, transforming them into major hubs for House and Techno fans, thereby extending his influence well beyond his local area.

Following the birth of his child, DJ Joshua reduced his involvement in events and radio to focus on his family. Yet, as his daughter matured, his enthusiasm for music was reignited, leading him to launch the Floating Beats podcast and radio show. This show is celebrated for its wide-ranging electronic music collection, highlighting Joshua's outstanding mixing skills, careful track choices, and an emotional journey through different genres.

DJ Joshua considers music a spiritual refuge that takes listeners on a sonic journey beyond traditional artistic boundaries. In January 2024, he expanded his artistic reach by founding JFLM Recordings, a record label dedicated to showcasing his works and supporting his production efforts.

The first hour, Floating Beats 672, is a pulsating journey through Techno, showcasing tracks that blend raw, deep, and hypnotic sounds. Highlights include William Arist’s "Dial" (Off/Grid Remix) and the mesmerizing Border One's "Fractal." Techno fans will love the driving beats of Joshua Fernand’s own "Flat Storm" and James Harbrecht's "On Your Marks." The hour culminates with standout productions like A. Paul's "Marauder" and Orion & Cari Lekebusch's "Spark Plug," delivering peak-time intensity.

The second hour, Velvety Elements 244, transitions seamlessly into Deep House and Dub influences. Tracks like Ohm & Kvadrant’s "Yding" (Bluetrain Special Edition Dub) and Harrison BDP’s "All That’s On My Mind" set a soulful tone. Deep and minimalistic gems such as Julian Perez’s "Chispazo" and Dani Sinergia's "Living Drama" (Roxx Cherry Remix) showcase subtle yet engaging rhythms. Closing with the trippy house vibes of Sascha Dive’s "Mojo" (Sakro Remix) and the atmospheric LLLIT's "493" (Radio Badjay Remix), this hour offers a soothing yet captivating experience.

DJ Joshua crafts an exceptional blend of genres in this two-hour showcase, offering a perfect mix of hypnotic Techno and lush Deep House. Tune in and immerse yourself in this expertly curated musical journey!
