The most recent playlists for DJ Joshua's radio shows, "Floating Beats" and "Velvety Elements," have been made available by Scientific Sound Asia. Being a key player in the electronic music industry, Scientific Sound Asia operates as a radio station, promoter, and DJ agency, playing a crucial role in shaping the electronic music scene in Asia. Through its events held in Ho Chi Minh City and various other prominent locations, the station draws a wide-ranging international audience.

Originally from Évora, Portugal, DJ Joshua has been extensively engaged in the electronic music scene for a considerable period. His remarkable assortment, comprising digital files, vinyl records, CDs, and cassettes, is a testament to his enduring commitment to the genre.

Throughout his career, DJ Joshua has mastered a variety of genres, including Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout. Despite the obstacles posed by the rave scene in Portugal in the 1990s, Joshua remained dedicated to electronic music.

Faced with societal obstacles and criticism, he came up with innovative approaches to create and share his music. Collaborating often with other artists, he organized gatherings in clubs and bars, which became crucial centres for House and Techno enthusiasts, expanding his impact far beyond his local circle.

After becoming a father, DJ Joshua scaled back his event and radio commitments to prioritize his family. However, as his daughter grew older, his passion for music was reignited, leading to the creation of the Floating Beats podcast and radio show. This show offers a diverse range of electronic music, known for Joshua's flawless mixes, thoughtful track selection, and emotional exploration of various genres.

DJ Joshua sees music as a form of spiritual comfort that takes listeners on a sensory journey beyond traditional artistic boundaries. In January 2024, he expanded his creative horizons by founding JFLM Recordings, a label dedicated to showcasing his music and supporting his production efforts.

Floating Beats 665 (First Hour) by DJ Joshua delivers a powerful mix of House, Techno, and Deep Techno. Highlights include Tal Fussman’s "Freedom Defines House" and William Kiss’ "Werkin'," alongside driving Techno tracks like Gunjack’s "Atomic Aerobics" and Van Czar’s "February 30th." Deep Techno grooves shine in KiNK’s "Quantum Shake" and William Arist’s "La Mano Del Hombre." This set is a journey through atmospheric beats and high-energy rhythms.

Velvety Elements 237 (Second Hour) explores the soulful side of House, Deep House, and Minimal Deep Tech. Tracks like Technique’s "This Old House (The Workshop Mix)" and Dylan Debut’s "In the Mood" set the tone, while deeper grooves emerge in Deeplomatik’s "Bless Vibes" and Ruze’s "Chapters." Uplifting moments are brought by Steve Lawler & Marco Lys’ "If Only You Knew" and Reboot’s "Match." This session is a melodic and uplifting exploration of modern house music.
