DJ Joshua has released the playlists for his weekly shows, Floating Beats and Velvety Elements. Scientific Sound Asia is a DJ agency and electronic music station based in Asia with a global audience.

DJ Joshua, a native of Evora, Portugal, has gained a reputation as an avid collector of electronic music in various formats including digital, vinyl, CDs, and tapes. During his teenage years, he spent countless hours at home perfecting his art as a DJ and organizing his library of Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout music.

During the early nineties, there was significant opposition to the rave music genres, and it was not being played on Portuguese airwaves. However, after a lot of patience and persistence, the DJ managed to secure some regular gigs on local radio stations, and he started spreading his love for rave music to a wider audience.

He started organizing House Music and Techno events at various clubs and bars, along with his close associates. His reputation grew in his hometown and beyond. However, when he became a father for the first time, he took a break from organizing events and performing on the radio.

As his daughter grew, he felt a need to reconnect with his roots and started the Floating Beats podcast and radio series. Over the years that have followed, he has gained a loyal following and continues to pursue his original vision on several notable online platforms.

After starting his love affair with House music, he decided to create another show to celebrate its deeper and more soulful side. Thus, his new show called "Velvety Elements" was born. Over the past few years, his podcasts have been broadcast on various House Music and Techno radio stations around the world, including ours.

He expressed that music is an art form that involves the fusion of various elements to convey emotions and make the body move. It is a place where you can hear sounds that can float and eventually fall onto your body. Simply put, he wants us to enjoy the experience.

Joshua presents weekly radio shows that feature a blend of House Music and Techno sub-genres. His shows include Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.

Listen to the shows live on Monday the 15th of January 2024 from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and re-airing on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
