DJ Joshua has released the playlists for his weekly shows, Floating Beats and Velvety Elements. Scientific Sound Asia is a DJ agency and electronic music station based in Asia with a global audience.

DJ Joshua, originally from Evora, Portugal, has established himself as a devoted electronic music enthusiast in different mediums, such as digital files, vinyl records, CDs, and tapes. Throughout his adolescence, he dedicated extensive periods to honing his skills as a DJ and meticulously curating his collection of Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout tracks.

During the early nineties, there was significant opposition to the rave music genres, which were not played on Portuguese airwaves. However, after a lot of patience and persistence, the DJ managed to secure some regular gigs on local radio stations, and he started spreading his love for rave music to a wider audience.

He began arranging House Music and Techno events at different clubs and bars, alongside his trusted companions. His standing expanded both in his hometown and beyond. Nonetheless, after becoming a father for the first time, he decided to take a hiatus from event organization and radio performances.

As his daughter grew, he felt a need to reconnect with his roots and started the Floating Beats podcast and radio series. Over the years that have followed, he has gained a loyal following and continues to pursue his original vision on several notable online platforms.

After developing a profound passion for House music with his first show, he decided to establish an additional program that would pay homage to its intricately soulful aspects. Consequently, he began a fresh show entitled "Velvety Elements." Throughout recent years, his podcasts have received airtime on numerous global House Music and Techno radio stations, including our own.

He expressed that music is an art form that involves the fusion of various elements to convey emotions and make the body move. It is a place where you can hear sounds that can float and eventually fall onto your body. Simply put, he wants us to enjoy the experience.

Joshua presents weekly radio shows that feature a blend of House Music and Techno sub-genres. His shows include Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.

Listen to the shows live on Monday the 22nd of January 2024 from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and re-airing on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
