DJ Joshua has unveiled the playlists for his latest shows, 'Floating Beats' and 'Velvety Elements'. Scientific Sound Asia is the leading electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency in the region, with an expanding global audience.

Originating from Evora, Portugal, DJ Joshua is celebrated for his extensive collection of electronic music. His dedication to curating various genres encompasses digital, vinyl, compact discs, and tapes.

As a teenager, Joshua developed a deep passion for collecting Techno, House, Drum and Bass, and Chillout music. He spent countless hours perfecting his DJ skills and meticulously cataloguing his extensive music collection.

In the early 90s, rave music faced significant resistance and was largely absent from Portuguese airwaves. Despite this, Joshua secured local radio residencies through sheer perseverance, spreading the exhilarating sounds of rave music to a broader audience.

Joshua's reputation flourished as he began organising events at clubs and bars with his close friends, gaining recognition in his hometown and beyond. After becoming a father, he took a hiatus from live events and radio but eventually felt compelled to return to his musical roots.

This led to the launch of the Floating Beats podcast and radio series, which has cultivated a devoted following over the years and is featured on prominent online platforms. His passion for music inspired him to create another show, Velvety Elements, celebrating the deeper, more soulful aspects of House Music.

Both shows have been broadcast internationally, including on Scientific Sound Asia, over the past two years. Joshua describes his approach to music as "an art form. The fusion of elements can convey emotions and make the body move. This is a place where you hear sounds that can float and end up falling onto your body. Enjoy it."

Each week, Joshua delves into a mix of House Music and Techno sub-genres, including Deep House, Tech House, Melodic House, Detroit Techno, Soulful House, Progressive House, Techno, Vocal House, and Melodic Techno.

Listen to the shows live on Monday 30th of January 2023 from 6 PM to 8 PM Indochina Time (ICT) and re-airing on Friday from 6 AM to 8 AM (ICT).
