DJ Joshua, whose real name is Joshua Mar, is a Portuguese electronic music connoisseur. Growing up in Évora, he developed a deep passion for electronic music, amassing a vast collection spanning House, Drum and Bass, Chill-out, and Techno, with the latter being a particular favourite.
Joshua's journey as a DJ began in the early 1990s, fueled by the burgeoning rave scene in Portugal. He immersed himself in local radio shows, sharing his love for electronic music and organizing events with fellow ravers. His dedication to promoting these groundbreaking genres earned him recognition and helped establish a strong community presence.
After a brief hiatus to focus on family, DJ Joshua returned with renewed vigour, launching Floating Beats, a radio show that has since become a staple for electronic music enthusiasts worldwide.
