DJ Marco Mei announces the playlist for 2025 episode 9.

Marco Mei, a distinguished Italian DJ and producer, affiliated with Bicycle Corporation, has recently revealed the playlist for his forthcoming radio show on Scientific Sound Asia. This organisation is renowned for hosting events and broadcasting electronic dance and urban music to a diverse audience across Asia, including countries such as Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, and Sri Lanka, thereby attracting electronic music enthusiasts from around the globe.


With over thirty years of experience in the global electronic music scene, Marco Mei is celebrated for his eclectic and vibrant DJing style, adeptly blending Afrocentric rhythms with contemporary electronic sounds, captivating audiences worldwide. His extensive knowledge of various musical genres, combined with his ability to craft engaging sets, has cemented his reputation as a respected figure within the industry.


Marco's journey began in the early 1990s when he explored record shops in Turin and became deeply involved in the city's underground music scene. His passion for House, Techno, and Afro-influenced sounds led him to join the Urban People collective, where he played an instrumental role in organising significant events that contributed to the growth of the local electronic music movement. His burgeoning reputation subsequently earned him a residency at the esteemed Pacha Club in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt, where he honed his skills and gained international recognition.


From that point onward, his career has taken him to clubs and festivals worldwide, where he has performed at prestigious venues including Woo Bar in Bali, The Mansion in Shanghai, Fuse in Brussels, and The Observatory in Ho Chi Minh City. Marco's influence extends beyond DJing, as he has also made a substantial impact in music production.


In 2009, he collaborated with fellow Italian producer Stefano Ugliano, known as 6884, to establish Bicycle Corporation. Together, they have released over fifty tracks and remixes across genres such as House, Techno, French House, Deep House, and Tech-House. Their work has been featured on prominent labels, including Alchemy, Miniatures, WL77, GrooveTraxx, Suka, and Revox, thereby solidifying their status as esteemed producers within the electronic music industry.


In 2010, Marco relocated to Taipei, Taiwan, where he quickly became a prominent figure in the region's vibrant electronic music scene. His performances at various venues throughout Asia have garnered him a loyal fanbase, while his extensive knowledge and passion for music have made him a highly sought-after artist in the area. In addition to his live sets, Marco also hosts a long-standing radio show on Scientific Sound Asia, where he curates mixes that reflect his eclectic tastes and expert selections.


With significant touring experience across Europe, Asia, and Africa, Marco Mei is a globally recognised figure in electronic music. His unwavering dedication to his craft, innovative DJing techniques, and ability to connect with diverse audiences have established him as a prominent presence in the international dance music scene. Whether through his dynamic club performances, collaborations with Bicycle Corporation, or meticulously curated radio shows, Marco consistently challenges conventions and inspires electronic music enthusiasts worldwide.


DJ Marco Mei takes listeners on a genre-blending journey through House, Nu Disco, Deep Tech & Indie Dance, delivering both classic sounds and modern grooves. The mix kicks off with Neverdogs' "Technology" (Jean Pierre Remix), setting a deep tech foundation, before moving into Duck Sauce’s "Fallin In Love" (Butch Remix) and Future Funk’s "Wildberry Tracks", both packed with vibrant house rhythms.
