DJ Marco Mei, one-half of the Italian duo Bicycle Corporation, has unveiled the tracklist for his highly anticipated upcoming show. Hosted by Scientific Sound Asia, an esteemed electronic music station, promoter, and DJ agency, the broadcast will reach audiences in Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka, and beyond.
Originating from Turin, Italy, Marco Mei boasts a DJ career that spans over three decades. His journey began with a deep passion for Afrocentric music, which he skillfully merged with the evolving electronic music landscape. Throughout his youth, Marco could often be found digging through records in Turin’s music stores and attending the early rave parties that shaped the city's burgeoning scene. With a group of friends, he began organizing events under the Urban People banner, contributing to Italy's growing house music and techno scenes.
After a decade of organizing events, Marco secured a prestigious residency at Pacha in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt. This role catapulted him to international fame, allowing him to perform his art globally. His performances have graced some of the world’s most renowned venues, including G-Star in Thailand, Fuse in Belgium, Room 18 in Taiwan, Arcan in Vietnam, Bangaluu in Germany, SOS Supper Club in Indonesia, and NLO in Belarus. Sharing stages with legendary artists such as David Morales, Justin Berkman, Roger Sanchez, Sander Kleinenberg, Harry Romero, and Ralph Falcon, Marco solidified his reputation as a top-tier DJ.
Following his residency, Marco partnered with his friend Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884, to form the production duo Bicycle Corporation. Together, they have released over 50 original tracks and remixes, showcasing their mastery across a range of genres, from Deep House and Tech House to French House and Techno. Their debut release came via 17:44 Records, and their music has since been featured on labels like Suka, Alchemy, and WL77 Groove Traxx.
Since relocating to Taipei, Taiwan, in 2010, Marco has become a central figure in the local music scene, regularly performing at events across the city. Before the global lockdown, he was a frequent traveller, performing at various clubs and venues throughout Asia and Eastern Europe. His electrifying sets, particularly at the recurring Roots Taipei event with Murphy Kin, have left a lasting impression on audiences.
Marco’s weekly radio show is a must-listen for fans of electronic music, offering a rich blend of genres including Deep House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica, and Techno.
