The track list for his upcoming show has been revealed by DJ Marco Mei from the Italian duo Bicycle Corporation. Scientific Sound Asia is an electronic music radio station, DJ agency, and promoter serving Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka, and worldwide.
Marco Mei, a renowned Italian DJ and producer from Turin, has made a significant impact on the electronic music scene over the past three decades. His career began with a deep appreciation for Afrocentric rhythms and evolved into a comprehensive exploration of electronic dance music genres.
In his early years in Turin, Marco immersed himself in crate digging and the emerging rave culture, which laid the foundation for his future career. He co-founded the Urban People Collective, which played a crucial role in organising pioneering house music events across Italy, helping to shape the country’s electronic music scene.
Marco's talent was soon recognised, leading to a prestigious residency at Pacha in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. This role marked the beginning of his international career, where he gained acclaim for his dynamic performances and his ability to engage audiences on a global scale. He has since performed at major venues worldwide, including G-Star in Thailand, Fuse in Belgium, Room 18 in Taiwan, and Arcan in Vietnam.
Marco’s extensive experience includes collaborations with notable electronic music artists such as David Morales, Roger Sanchez, and Sander Kleinenberg. His reputation as a leading figure in electronic music is well-established, with a broad range of performances that span multiple electronic music genres.
In 2010, Marco relocated to Taipei, Taiwan, where he continues to be a prominent figure in the local electronic music scene. Taipei’s vibrant music culture has provided him with numerous opportunities to perform, particularly at venues like Roots Taipei and Electronic Roots. His performances have also extended across Asia and Eastern Europe, solidifying his reputation as a top DJ and producer.
Marco’s creative output is not limited to live performances. He formed the Bicycle Corporation with Stefano Ugliano (6884), and together they have produced an extensive catalogue of work. Their releases, spanning genres from deep house to tech house, French house, and techno, have been featured on respected labels such as 17:44 Records, Suka, Alchemy, and WL77 Groove Traxx.
Marco also hosts a weekly radio show that features a diverse array of electronic music genres. His show covers everything from nu-disco and indie dance to melodic techno and house music.
