The track list for his upcoming show has been revealed by DJ Marco Mei from the Italian duo Bicycle Corporation. Scientific Sound Asia serves as an Asian promoter, DJ agency, and electronic dance music radio station catering to Japan, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea, Sri Lanka, and a global audience.
Marco Mei, a seasoned DJ from Turin, Italy, boasts a remarkable career spanning over three decades. His journey into the world of electronic music began with a deep passion for Afrocentric rhythms and a fascination with the evolution of various electronic music genres.
In his early years, Marco immersed himself in the vibrant music scene of Turin, spending countless hours crate-digging in local record shops. He was actively involved in the burgeoning rave scene and, alongside his peers, played a key role in organising events under the Urban People banner, which contributed significantly to Italy's electronic music scene.
After a successful decade of event organising, Marco secured a prestigious residency at Pacha in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. This role marked a turning point in his career, propelling him onto the international stage. His exceptional performances and reputation quickly gained him recognition, leading to tours across the globe.
Marco has graced renowned venues worldwide, including G-Star in Thailand, Fuse in Belgium, Room 18 in Taiwan, Arcan in Vietnam, Bangaluu in Germany, SOS Supper Club in Indonesia, and NLO in Belarus. He has performed alongside influential figures such as David Morales, Justin Berkman, Roger Sanchez, Sander Kleinenberg, Harry Romero, and Ralph Falcon, solidifying his status as a leading figure in the industry.
Following his residency, Marco teamed up with Stefano Ugliano, known as 6884, to form Bicycle Corporation. The duo has made a significant impact with over 50 original tracks and remixes, releasing music across various genres, including Deep House, Tech House, French House, and Techno. Their work has been featured on prominent labels like 17:44 Records, Suka, Alchemy, and WL77 Groove Traxx.
Since relocating to Taipei, Taiwan, in 2010, Marco has continued to influence the electronic music scene. He regularly performs at notable venues across the Taiwanese capital and has a strong presence in the Asian, African, and Eastern European music scenes. His performances at Roots Taipei and Electronic Roots have further established his reputation.
Marco hosts a weekly radio show that features a wide range of genres, including Deep House, Melodic House, Tech House, Afro House, Melodic Techno, Nu-Disco, Indie Dance, Electronica, and Techno. For international bookings, Marco is represented by our DJ agency, which specialises in connecting Asian-based artists with global opportunities.
