El Brujo has unveiled the track selections for the latest instalment of his show Work In Progress, episode 10, featuring El Brujo and DJ MaurizioG. Robert Milanesi, known as El Brujo, was born in Italy in 1964. He developed a strong interest in music from an early age, eventually becoming a key figure in the underground techno and rave community in Bologna, Italy, starting in 1994.
In 2008, he debuted with the track "Warriors" under the Milan-based record label Open Legs. Two years later, Jambalay Records launched its label with a notable event at Club Geminis in the Ibiza harbour, Spain.
The record label and El Brujo achieved international acclaim when Maya Jane Coles featured their track 'Mozambique' in her February 2011 chart. Their partnership with Big Mojo led to El Brujo's inaugural physical CD release, 'Nutty Fellas Are Go'. In January 2019, El Brujo's 'Plastic Dreams', initially released on Frame Worxx, climbed to #33 on the Beatport Hard Techno Top 100 chart.
Having released music on various renowned labels like Hydraulic, Naked Lunch, Elektrax, Frame Workxx, LW Recordings, Subwoofer, Sound Dissonance, Physical Techno, and others, EL Brujo has made a significant impact in the music industry. His song "Shit Happens" caught the attention of DJ Rush in May 2022 and reached the 10th position in the Beatport Top 100 for Jackin House.
El Brujo's music stands out for its originality, inspired by the vastness of the cosmos. His music transcends traditional genres, showcasing his innovative musical approach. Every month, El Brujo features a guest DJ from his talented roster of House and Techno creators. Together, they present "Work in Progress," a radio show featuring experimental and unreleased Techno and House Music.
