El Brujo has published the track lists for his show 'El Brujo and The Wild Bunch' 36 featuring guest Kika Terremoto. Scientific Sound Asia is the Asian electronic music station for the region and internationally.
El Brujo (first hour) real name, Robert Milanesi was born and raised in Italy in 1964. From a very young age, he became something of a music addict with a taste for many different genres.
Still, it was those hypnotic beats of electronic music that quickly became a firm favourite of his. As he came of age, his undying love for music grew with him and it soon became clear to himself and all those around him that this was to be his life.
The young Robert worked tirelessly on his musical endeavours. Making it his mission to bring something new and groundbreaking to audiences across Italy and then one day the world.
Always pushing the boundaries and tenaciously striving to reach new heights, Robert's determination brings those electronic sounds onto the Italian music scene and proved unwavering in the eyes of the naysayers. By the mid-90s, Robert's dreams were now finally becoming reality.
When after such hard work, dedication and of course his own creative talent, Robert had become well known as one of the founding fathers of the underground rave scene in Bologna, Italy. His first official release came in 2008 with its title, ‘Warriors’ on the Milan label, Open Legs. Jambalay Records, his label was launched at their opening party in n Ibiza, Spain in 2010.
The label and El Brujo then burst onto the worldwide scene with legendary Maya Jane Coles first charting his track, Mozambique in collaboration with Big Mojo, on his first CD release ‘Nutty Fellas Are Go.’ Then in January 2019, his release, ‘Plastic Dreams ’on Frame Worxx ranked number #33 in the Beatport Hard Techno Top 100.
El Brujo has released on labels such as Elektrax, Frame Workxx, Lw Recordings, Subwoofer and many others. In May 2022 he was charted by DJ Rush and his track '' Shit Happens '' reached position number 10 in the Beatport top 100 for Jackin House.
His unique sound and creations are interstellar in his ‘Raw’ approach to the many different genres he conceives in his own musical innovation. Every month El Brujo will be giving us a guest DJ from his 'Wild Bunch' of Techno producers and artists.
Guest Kika (second hour).
This show's guest DJ (second hour) is Kika Terremoto, Kika was born and raised in Sardinia, Italy, where during her youth she studied singing, piano, and flute then later qualified as a music teacher and then went on to be a DJ and vocalist.
Her career took off in 1991 when she gained residency as a DJ, vocalist and art director at K2 Club and then landed a gig as a presenter on One Night Music TV shortly after. Then the following year she landed a further role as a DJ, Vocalist and Presenter on Radio Studio One.
Kika quickly established herself as a prominent figure on the music scene and continued rising to ever-new heights throughout the 90s and 00s. But it wasn’t just in music she gained new ground, she was also in high demand as both an actress and model, landing gigs in everything from advertisements on TV to many prestigious events including, London Fashion Week.
She later went on to further her career and passion for music based in England as an international DJ, vocalist, songwriter and versatile music producer, releasing her first single, Let The Children Play in 2010. Soon followed a string of further releases in compilation, singles of many kinds as well as radio DJ, DJ Vocalist and music producer for events and clubs worldwide.
Throughout the 2010s she continued to make great strides in her musical career with signings with some of the industry's biggest labels including, Island Paradise Jam Records, Belitime Records, Soulshift and PLG.
In the year 2022 alone, she has had several radio residencies with major broadcasters, including, Ambron Radio UK, Club Dance Radio Amsterdam, Militia Underground Records, Bataklank Radio and Mtc Radio. Now, barely even weeks into 2023, she has since gained further residencies and released her new track, ‘Prex’ in the album, ‘Hard Techno for a Hard Time.’
Kika has without any shadow of a doubt forged her place in the history of not only the industry's most tenacious go-getters but as a top contender on the music scene and one of the most sought-after talents of our time. Some may ask, ‘where did such passion and dedication first stem from, what was the root of her great love for those sounds and melodies, what gave her such insatiable hunger to make it so big in the industry and how has she been able to entice so many different audiences from around the world? ’
Her love for music began at a very early age. There were of course many different influences behind her passion but none was bigger than her father, a music professor and pianist of both jazz and blues.
It was his skill, knowledge and sheer love for the art form that instilled a deep-seated affection for music which has not only never left her but has been very the driving force behind much of her success. Today, long after his passing her father’s passion and dedication to music live on in her.
Kika stands as a leading DJ and vocalist with international acclaim. Yet she still remains modest, not forgetting her humble beginnings and staying true to the music she loves.
Much of her work varies from Techno, Minimal, Electronica, House and Ambient music. With an open mind to create or collaborate on something unique and groundbreaking, one simply cannot place her in any single genre but for the music of all sorts from across cultures and generations.
