Bicycle Corporation is poised to release the much-anticipated episode 113 of the 'Electronic Roots' show. Scientific Sound Asia stands as the leading electronic music station and DJ agency for Asia and beyond, serving both local and international audiences.
Bicycle Corporation consists of the Italian duo, DJ and Producer Marco Mei, and Stefano Ugliano, also known as 6884. Marco began his career in the early nineties, engaging in House Music and Techno Events, particularly with the 'Urban People' crew.
Over time, Marco's reputation in the music industry grew, establishing him as a highly-regarded talent across Italy. Yet, his achievements did not stop there. With his considerable success domestically, Marco started to attract international attention, leading to performance opportunities worldwide.
From his early years, Stefano, a gifted musician, showcased his potential in Turin, Italy. He dedicated much of his leisure time to delving into the realm of music, exhibiting an intense passion for the arts. In addition to studying classical piano, percussion, and drums, Stefano cultivated a deep appreciation for Chopin's compositions and the West African Djembe.
Stefano's unwavering dedication to diverse music genres harboured a unique passion - a profound fascination with the turntable virtuoso, the DJ. The entrancing rhythms produced by these maestros were a rare gem on the Italian radio stations' airwaves of that time.
For many, the idea of creating such sounds and presenting them to large audiences might seem like an unreachable dream. Yet, Stefano was not discouraged by this belief; he had a definitive vision that he was resolute in realizing.
Bicycle Corporation was born out of steadfast determination, arduous work, serendipitous meetings with Marco, and relentless dedication. With over 50 tracks and remixes spanning genres such as Techno, Deep House, French House, and Tech House, the duo has garnered significant success.
Despite their rising success, Marco and Stefan stay true to their roots and keep a down-to-earth attitude. They have recently revisited their initial tracks and created a Bandcamp page for distribution. Moreover, as featured artists in our DJ agency for Asia, they continue to solidify their influence in the electronic music scene of the region.
The show features a handpicked selection of top tracks across progressive house, electronica, and melodic techno genres. This show was originally broadcast on Wednesday, May 1st, 2024, you can listen to the recording on the Mixcloud player below.
